Big Island Bend offers riverside camping on pristine bushland on the Western bank of the Clyde River just North of Big Island in the middle of the Batemans Bay Marine Park. The north-facing campsite is in a beautiful location with access to riverfront beaches, water sports, fishing, mountain bike trails and hiking.

BEFORE YOU BOOK - PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS PROPERTY IS RIGHT FOR YOU
1. CAPACITY - We are able to host only a single campsite comprising a single tent or caravan for no more than two nights duration only. This will ensure compliance with NSW State Govt regulations that are policed heavily by Eurobodalla Shire Council. Please do not plan to erect a second tent – this may result in a fine that we will pass on to you. We apologise if this prohibits your larger family and small group from enjoying our property (which we strongly believe should be permitted.
2. SITE AMENITIES - The camp is best suited to adventurous campers with swags, tents, rooftops, light camping trailers and small popup caravans. There is a flushing toilet, a hot shower, running (dam) water, and firepits but no electricity or refrigeration. We have fire pits available for guests use, please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting a campfire in the designated firepit. FREE FIREWOOD is available on site.
3. ROAD ACCESS - The last couple of km of dirt track are undulating and dusty, but perfectly fine for all vehicles in dry conditions. Access and exit will become challenging for larger motorhomes and caravans, heavy camping trailers and 2WD vehicles (especially front-wheel-drive), after periods of heavy or prolonged rain. We will refund your booking fee if you choose to cancel, or we close the property, due to the weather (it will need to be bad for us to close the property, so you won’t want to be there anyway). Please message us in advance for advice if you are concerned about the weather or vehicle access.
4. PETS - Well behaved pets are welcome but must be controlled and cleaned up after.

We are located just south of the Mogo township on the NSW south coast, in prime position for mountain biking fanatics as the Maulbrooks Mountain Bike Park and Mogo State Forest are just to our west.
We are 5 mins from the New MOGO MTB trails!
On hot days you can grab your swimmers, snorkel and surfboard, and head down to a number of beaches at Tomakin and Broulee (15 mins from camp).
When exploring the region, don't forget to stop in at the famous township of Mogo. This gorgeous village offers a quirky mix of art, crafts, homewares and collectibles, as well as fantastic food, clothing, specialty items, and well known favourites like Mogo Fudge or some marshmallows to toast on the campfire.
The campsite is nestled amongst the tall gum trees and overlooks the dam. There is a firepit with a hot plate for delicious camp out dinners and firewood is available for sale under Extras.
There is access to a toilet and rubbish facilities, but you will need to bring your own drinking water and shower.
We can cater for all types of camping vehicles and tents, including 2WD. The campsite is generally flat but your vehicle may require a little levelling.

Just had a great weekend camping and relaxing at Mark’s place. Soft, grassy, flat, cleared campsite overlooking the river with tall gum trees. Solar shower and flushing toilet a total luxury as well as the huge campgrounds only being able to be booked for one tent - privacy! A few lazy boats going by, a great little swimming/kayaking beach and some short walks made for a very nice bit of time out. The road in and out was perfectly fine, might be a bit slippery on the hills when very wet and I wouldn’t bring a caravan. Thanks Mark for making it available and all the effort that clearly goes in to maintaining such a large space.

We had a short 1 night break with our 15 feet caravan. We had great time in Sarah’s property, the camp site is amazing, very private, surrounded with stunning nature around and a dam; also well equipped with toilets. Perfect for a family or a group. The location is fantastic, very close to Mogo village, not far from the coast and conveniently on the main road. The access to the campsite is well signalled from the entry of the property.
Sarah has been amazingly accomodating for us as we have faced weather events on the way. We’ve been very lucky! Thanks Sarah!
I recommend strongly camping in this property, we will come as soon as we will be back on the South Coast!

What a great place for a farm stay, being able to interact with so many different animals all in the one place! Alpacas, a pig, goats, cows, horses and kangaroos! The space is as described and the portaloo was accessible and clean. It’s very peaceful and access to the river is great for a quick dip.

La Estancia Hideaway was the perfect place for a 3 night break away. It's spacious, surrounded by trees, quiet and very, very comfortable. this place is so amazing along with the host - it’s an absolute hidden treasure that once you know you will return - it’s in a great spot for exploring the Jervis Bay Area - it has the best communal area and an outdoor bath in the forest that is private to your booking - I almost don’t want to review this because I want to make sure I get to revisit !! But Magali and her place need a shout out as she has poured so much love into creating a beautiful camping experience :)

We had a great week camped at Jeremadra getaway.
Sarah and Tom were very friendly and helpful.
The camp was quiet and secluded at the back of the property. Only us camped so it was very relaxing.
Close to Mogo and 15 mins or so from Batemans bay, great location.
The fire pit was great and we sat around it every night.
The pit toilet was very handy as was the water available for washing dishes.
My kids loved riding their bikes around the dam and over the dry creek bed.
Thankyou so much for having us. Highly recommend.
