Located just 1.2km off the Princes Highway, we're a short drive from Central Tilba and Cobargo, two charming villages with excellent food and shopping. The beaches of Mystery Bay and Camel Rock are a quick 15-minute drive, with Bermagui and its "Boneless Vegetarian Cafe" about 25 minutes away.

Currently, you’ll find an ablution block near the old house site, a camp kitchen, a large undercover area, and a storage cabin consisting of a queen bed that you can rent out at an additional cost. The main camp area sits closer to the river, offering direct access for swimming and relaxing by the water.
What to Expect
Campfires: Permitted — some firewood is available, though we recommend bringing extra.
Connectivity: Telstra mobile coverage and Starlink internet are available for convenience and emergencies.
Access: 4WDs are recommended, especially in wet weather. In dry conditions, an all-wheel drive can reach the site.

Another year, another glorious summer holiday at Tuross River Camping. This year we went for a hike down river and found some more beautiful swimming spots. We even saw a turtle! This place has it all — running water, flush toilets, hot showers (but honestly after a day swimming in the Tuross, who needs them?) and a brilliant sheltered camp kitchen. The roads were in good condition getting in and when the toilets needed resetting, Dwayne took our call (via Starlink thank you very much) and was super helpful. We love this place and we'll be back again next year. Also, a stop at Bodalla on the way home is always fun (pub lunch, the dairy and art gallery are great).

We had the most peaceful and poetic stay by the creek in Shanti and Sol’s generous and considered space. Great simple facilities with a natural setting, we felt we were immersed in nature but with plenty of comfort and facilities. Would highly recommend this stay.

We have had the best week at Sol & Shanti’s stunning property. The place is deliciously secluded, with a bubbling creek and so many magnificent birds - kingfishers, superb wrens, kookaburras, whip birds and many others that we don’t know. The kids had a blast, playing cricket, swimming and chasing the chickens. The camp has the option to be totally private or you can wander up to the main area and use the camp kitchens while the kids play on the swings. Sol and Shanti were every bit the perfect hosts - friendly, warm and respectful. We loved visiting Tilba and Bermagui and enjoying the atmosphere of their bohemian property. We will miss it!

Stayed here for 5 nights in tents. Plenty of room. Despite a lot of rain before we arrived, the ground wasn't particularly wet, and didn't pose any issues. The facilities are simple, but work perfectly.
We didn't use the flattened area because there were puddles around the edges and we were worried it would get messy underfoot, especially with more rain forecast. It had been raining fairly solidly we gather that morning. The puddles drained in less than 24 hours despite the additional rain, so that would have been the perfect spot to have put our kitchen tent as it happened. Will know that for next time!
The only downside was that it is right next to the highway, and the road noise during the day was quite constant - high speed passing traffic, not car revving noises or the like that you can get in towns. There was hardly any traffic overnight so it really wasn't that much of an issue. Might be a problem if you're a particularly light sleeper, but it didn't bother us.

Weekend Trip to Siam Sanctuary
Loved the nature immersion in this spot. Amazing birdlife and two very friendly adorable chickens walking round. The campervan ‘Delilah’ was very cozy and comfortable. We had a nice time exploring the grounds and having a drink down by the creek. Great spot to use as a base to explore the bermagui/Tilba areas.
Shanti and Sol were excellent hosts - very accommodating and check in was very easy (even at night time). Couldn’t recommend this spot enough.
