Bunga Surf Shack is located 20m from our house we are completing building in mid-2025. It is private from our house with a seperate driveway. The property is coastal farmland, half wooded, half cleared, distant neighbours and nearby National Parks. Great surf beaches including Bunga Point, Cuttagee and Aragunnu all close by. There are numerous coastal lagoons, Biamanga and Mimosa Rocks National parks. We have a large dam at the entrance to the property. The township of Bermagui is 15 minutes drive north; Tathra and Bega are 30mins south. There is an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, eagles, wombats. You can enjoy whale watching, diving, swimming, surfing and walking coastal tracks from here. As well there is an abundance of great food available with Wapengo Organic oysters just down the road, Mimosa Winery close by and numerous cafes, pub, restaurants, sourdough bakery, woolworths, bottleshop etc in the gorgeous coastal village of Bermagui. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. If you require firewood please select this in the extras or leave $20 cash per nights supply as we do have to chop, split and deliver this to the site. There is plenty of kindling to scavenge on site. If you would like to have friends stay with you there is additional space we allow for campers, otherwise we do not allow campers without the Surf Shack booking. Please be respectful of neighbours, drive slowly for wildlife, and no flying of drones over private land. Thanking you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Willow Dam! Whilst the hosts house is in view, it still felt very private & aside from a wave from afar as they returned home, we were left to our own devices. The space was very easy to find and not far out of the town of Narooma so there is plenty nearby to explore & all the amenities you could need. We loved the fire pit that was available & massively appreciated the pile of firewood to get us going. The log stools & dam were also great. The paddock is fully fenced which is a game changer for those with dogs. We still kept our girl on a leash because there were sheep in the paddock next to us and the fence isn’t the highest. The hosts have two dogs who were a couple of paddocks away by the main house which again we appreciated because they were a good distance away from our dog for them to be a distraction. Fab stay - thanks so much!

Had an absolutely wonderful, relaxing time. We were a group of 3 families with dogs, had 2 x pop top campers and a caravan and we had no problems with access or setup at all. We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The view at the site was lovely and the kids even got to pat some cows that stopped in for a sticky beak at camp on the last morning. Julie the host was very kind and helpful from the moment we booked until we left the site and was very responsive to any questions we had. Only half an hour from Tathra beach and the whale watching which was nice and less than 20 mins from Bega.

Gorgeous views and great directions. Loads of firewood and plenty of spots to take our dog for a walk. The bitumen road to the property is steep but we had no troubles towing a 20’6 caravan up or down it.

Top of the Lake is great! This was our second time, but this time we stayed in a unit rather than camping. It was warm, cozy, and well equipped, with a full kitchen for us to cook in. Our favourite part? Just how dog friendly it is, they were happy for us to keep our fur babies inside with us, as well as leaving them in the secure courtyard if we needed to go shopping. And the secure off-lead yard was so much fun for them to run around in. 10/10 will definitely stay here again, whether camping or glamping in a unit.

Lovely spot, not far off the bitumen of a private no through road so pretty quiet. Good for non offroader. It's along a ridgeline with open space for camping but bushwalks down either slope. Wombats everywhere!

A great base to explore the sapphire coast, close to Merimbula and Pambula. Car needed for shops as no where within walking distance , on main road with some road noise but not an issue for us. For the most part we were the only campers so was super peaceful. Lake not really visible from camp site. Neat and tidy, sloping site with flat areas to pitch. The whole area has limited signal for any internet connection which was lovely to switch off but a problem when trying to contact family over xmas. We were 2 mature travellers with a small dog. We valued the electric hook up and access to water, toilets, showers and washing machine. A lovely christmas break, thankyou (great that a power adapter was available, didn’t think to bring our own) Corene & David

Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf. There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed. To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is. To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here. To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley. For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui. For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track. Our property is dog friendly for well-behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs. Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you. Kangarutha also has a country style cottage (with a tennis court!) available for holiday rental - maybe for the parents or friends who are not so into camping!
