Absolutely wonderful place to stay, woke up to the cows coming down to the damn for a drink of water. The sun set was amazing over the ridge line. And Jane was so lovely.

We had a great time at Sandy Bottom Farm, despite the wind.
The campsite is wonderful, open and right on the river. The trains didnt bother us at all. Such a beautiful place.
Plenty on firewood around to use.
The hosts were welcoming and a pleasant.
We will be visiting again

What a great campsite. Quiet and relaxing by the waterhole. The hosts were so accommodating and helpful. They offer a lot of activities on their property. The instructions to get there were easy to follow and even though we got there late they were great communicators. Jane and her daughter stopped for a chat when they dropped firewood off for us. Definitely will return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Maiden Jewel, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. The location is truly breathtaking – surrounded by scenic views that seem to change with the light of day, from golden sunrises to peaceful dusks. Each moment felt like stepping into a postcard.
The nights were wonderfully quiet, making it the perfect escape from the rush of everyday life. I slept better here than I have in a long time, with only the sounds of nature in the background.
What really made the stay exceptional was the host’s generosity. From thoughtful touches in the accommodation to warm, genuine hospitality, it was clear that every detail was considered to make guests feel welcome and comfortable.
If you’re looking for a serene getaway with stunning views and a host who truly cares, Maiden Jewel is a gem worth discovering.

Maiden Jewel is beautiful natural Australian bush mixed in with stunning camping areas
The horses are amazing, too have the cattle wondering freely about the property is spectacular
And the natural wildlife all around it doesn’t get much better.

Was beautiful location, very easy to find and hosts were very helpful.
The trains were super cool addition. I got some really cool drone footage of one passing by. Highly recommend and will be back.

Maiden Jewel was so peaceful. A wonderful place to get away. The property is huge with heaps of great camping places so you feel like you are alone. Lots of trails to walk & total peace & quiet. Loved it. Jane was great & met me on horseback to show me to the waterhole where I camped.

We stayed here overnight, what a lovely peaceful and flat camping spot next to the river. There are trains coming passed but they aren’t to much of a bother. The trains toot at you when you wave!

We really enjoyed this very peaceful and scenic location and the fact that there was so much open space gave us all lots of privacy. It was conveniently located close to Scone but still very much 'in the country' with good road access with our caravans. We loved being able to have a fire and enjoyed the variety of birds and wildlife that were wandering around. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks

The beauty of Maiden Jewel is unmatched. You get the choice of spectacular views no matter which direction you set up camp. The drive in really sets the tone.
Jane is a wonderful and hands on host, very accommodating and offers a super fun buggy ride around her humongous property, which is full of fun and information on the history of the land, plants and animals, especially great for the kids!
There are animals roaming, yet the grounds are clean! Woke up with very healthy looking cows mooing us a good morning, which was super cool.
This is a peaceful, beautiful part of the world and is NOT for people looking to party, do everyone a favour and pick somewhere else if that’s what you’re after.
If you want to wake up in heaven, spend the night at maiden jewel, we have already planned our next two trips back.
