Last minute booking for a variety of reasons and Iâm so glad we stayed at Boneydoon. It was exactly what these 2 âcity slickersâ needed. We had the whole place to ourselves apart for some wallabies and kookaburras. Great communication with Nick and perfect facilities (for off grid). Great phone reception so we could check in with our dog sitter.

Camping was great, glad we got put on the area with a really pleasant view, rolling hills and the expansive view to as far as the eye could see. Was a joy to wake up everyday feeling relaxed and refreshed. Almost forgot we had a life in Sydney to come back to. Could have stayed another couple of weeks easily.

We had a great time staying at southern comfort over the Easter long weekend. Amazing views , the kids loved exploring the bush and we took on the walk to the waterfall. Plenty of animals about with a monitor joint our camp one day and also finding a python on one of our walks. Would defiantly recommend a visit

Awesome site and amenities with stunning views across the valley, gorgeous dark skies and a 20 second walk to shower and toilets (Site 8 was the closest). Very spacious and fairly isolated from other sites. No issues accessing with a 2WD. Friendly host checking everything was OK.

Lovely place, really responsive host, was happy to take a fairly last minute booking and provided help picking a site. Rainbow Valley is fantastically beautiful but tricky to find flat ground if thatâs of importance to you. Thanks again guys.

What a dream camping spot at Bonneydoon! There is so much to do on the property and the views are breathtaking. Hosts were exceptional and the campsites well-maintained and spacious. Will definitely be back again!

Amazing campsite which we had all to ourselves. Views over the valley. Would recommend doing the boshwalks to the 1000yr old fig tree, the tree stearcase down to the sherm tree, and to the creek and waterfall. Camping with 2 dogs and had no issues.

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids and we loved our stay at Bonneydoon. We were super grateful for the camp kitchen/shelter as we got caught in rain almost as soon as we set up camp. We were able to dry ourselves and some equipment under the shelter - without this, we would have bailed!
Campsites are well marked and spaced, though I think we had the place to ourselves! Composting toilets and outdoor showers were basic but all we needed.
The creek on the property is beautiful - would recommend 4WD only to access. Beware of leeches!
Great property, would recommend and would visit again :)

A great spot, open space, nicely cleared site. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Originally we booked for site #6. As we were setting up we found a few leaches (we were forewarned) as the site was close to the dam and had been wet a few days earlier. We found a nice spot to camp, but when Nick came by to greet us, he offerred for us to go to site #8 for the better views. Site #8 was wonderful, close to the amenities and a lovely view of the mountains.
Facilities were great and we had a lovely time. Nick was extremely accommodating and the property was easy to find.

Lots of space and beautiful views. Amenities are basic but they do the job. Easy access. Firepits on most sites.
We loved the views and the huge very flat space we had, away from other campers but be mindful that if it gets very windy number 11/12 campsites are completely in the open and unprotected.
Nicholas recommended a nice walk and took the kids for a ride on his buggy, they loved it!

Had an awesome daddy daughter camping adventure up at 'Booneydoon' Main Creek! Getting back to nature and off the grid, and so great to share some of those childhood experiences I remember having with my girl.
Ran into Nick and Jane, the property owners, lovely couple who took the extra time to orientate us to the site and fill us in on the many adventures the property offers, from bushwalks, stunning westerly view at "Sunset Rock" cliff lookout, and 4WD tracks (sadly didn't have the 4WD with me though. Next time, because we'll most definitely be back).
When the first question after getting home is "when can we do that again?" you know you're on to something good.
