Binacrombi is a beautiful property featuring 530 acres of raw bushland. It is covered in trails and is the perfect location for adventuring, hiking, swimming, exploring, and biking. We currently have the following available for your enjoyment:

Accessible to all of our guests is a communal recreation room featuring a shared kitchen and dining facilities, as well as an indoor lounge and game room.
With our camping sites, cabins and large 25 person dormitory we are perfectly equipped to handle large group bookings so keep us in mind for your next group gathering.
We are also a licensed off-road recreational vehicle area. Please note riders/drivers must sign a waiver from Binacrombi before hitting the trails, as motorbikes and 4WD's ARE NOT covered by Hipcamp insurance.

Welcome to Lyrebirds Nest, a quiet bush escape.
Lyrebirds Nest cottage is situated in the bush with forest views from the balcony and rooms. The cottage is setup for glamping with an wood stove, queen bed (BYO linen), sofa, electricity, filtered water (hot and cold), hot indoor shower and composting toilet. A bar fridge and microwave is also provided. The open fire is not to be used.
The surrounding land on the property includes a lake with jetty, sauna, olive grove, orchard and chicken coup.
There are great hikes on the property or you can follow the creek and continue into the State Forest.
There is plenty of wildlife to see, a bird lovers paradise with plenty of Lyrebirds, king parrots, black cockatoos to name a few.
You're welcome to stay in the cottage or camp by the lake.
Located half way between Canberra and Sydney, and 15 minutes walk from Penrose station with easy access to all the Southern Highlands has to offer.

Lyrebird was the perfect retreat for us to recover from a stressful year. A quiet and tranquil space where we could relax with our dogs and watch the birdlife on the deck, wander through the olive grove and say hello to the horses and goats, or potter down to the lily pond where the sauna was located.
The hosts were so welcoming and helpful; creating the perfect the first Hipcamp experience for us all, including some treats for us to feed the horses who were so friendly.
The cottage contains all you need, and is full of light and birdsong. We appreciated having a hot shower and absolutely loved the deck. Did not want to leave and wished we had booked a third night. I have not slept so soundly in a long time.
We used a portable dog fence to secure our dogs on the deck while we transported items to and from the cottage, and had long leads for walks so they could have some space without bothering livestock or wildlife. There were a lot of kangaroos when we went for a walk up the road, plus birdlife and cattle.

Private, secluded, amazing bush views. A great escape for some serious relaxation.

Beautiful cabin in a lovely secluded spot! Ash and his partner were very attentive hosts and great with communication. So nice to wake up to the sound of birds in the morning and sit out on the veranda.

Beautiful spot with the most amazing view from the cabin. Lots of birds to watch. Lovely rustic cabin with warming fire. Our dog loved swimming in the billabong by the sauna. Ash was very responsive, couldn’t have asked for more.

I stayed with my partner and 2 dogs. The log cabin was wonderful, has all the amenities you need surrounded by nature. Loved waking up and sitting outside on the deck with a coffee with the view of the trees. It was so peaceful! Ash and Ellie were the perfect hosts and made sure we were comfortable!
