We loved the view and the privacy we felt not only were the hosts perfect but the location. We would visit again, Dave and Ally were great hosts, down to earth and ready to share time with you, which makes you feel special, loved the tracks and the 3 gates we went through to get to the camping spot, mainly flat large open space and very peaceful. When you stay here you feel part of the family.

Loved staying off-grid at this quiet, secluded campsite. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to slow down, reset, and enjoy nature without distractions. Waking up to nothing but birds and fresh air was exactly what we needed. If you are looking for a private, relaxing escape, this kind of spot is hard to beat.

Lovely quiet property, plenty of flat area for camping with friendly hosts. Only a short drive from Warrumbungle and Timmallallie National Parks, and within the Dark Sky zone, so the night sky on a clear day is stunning. Will definitely stay at again.

We had such a wonderful stay at Gawamaraay Views. From the moment we arrived, Celia welcomed us warmly and showed us onto the property. The campsite itself is set against the backdrop of the national park hills – a beautiful and peaceful spot.
Each morning we were greeted by three inquisitive wild emus that came right up to say hello. Goats and kangaroos could be seen in the distance, and a short walk took us to a dam and through paddocks filled with wattles in bloom – a stunning sight.
What really made the stay special was the generosity of the family. Ally, Celia, Kim, and friends went out of their way to include us and our kids in farm life – feeding cows, collecting eggs, bottle-feeding one-day-old lambs, and even hopping in the buggy for a drive. The kids absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave.
Everyone was so friendly that we felt like part of the community from the very start but we were also left to enjoy the privacy/serenity. It’s a place that’s both relaxing and full of memorable experiences. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

Do yourself a favor! Incredible property. James is a top bloke and onto a winner, he’s planning to upgrade the facilities for HipCampers so give him your support. I’ll definitely be coming back with doggo and doing some of the local hikes. Thanks again mate, good luck.

Solitude at the foothills of the Warrumbungles! A short drive off the bitumen & then a quick guided drive to your spot after reaching the house/farm. My reactive dog & I had complete space to ourselves with that beautiful view, just the sounds of the bush. The lack of reception is to be expected (for anyone needing it) yet I carry a PLB as I travel remotely, it wasn’t a bother. Stu (James’ Dad) was very helpful, the firewood lasted most of the night, I would definitely return & was easy to book with great, prompt communication.

James’ property is just stunning. Adjacent to Warrumbungles NP - speccy views, amazing bird life (at least a half dozen wedge-tails, emus… ) loads of kangaroos. Beautiful camp spot, so quiet, stars amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the National Park. Highly recommend- thank you James - Liz and Tom

This was our second Hipcamp experience, Ally and her parents Dave and Kim made us feel very welcome.
We were met and directed to where we would be camping, the views are beautiful and you feel very isolated which is the experience we wanted!
Our daughter loved watching the sheep and lambs in the paddock, very happy with our stay!

What a fantastic campsite! We stayed at One Night and the views were spectacular. We were so grateful to be able to see the Warrumbungle while travelling with our dog.
The campsite was well maintained with stunning sunset views of the mountain! We had kangaroos visit from a distance.
Stu (James Dad) was a fantastic host - showing us where to camp and a big supply of firewood - and some limes for my G&Ts!
Highly recommend and would love to come back!

We stayed at Monkey Rock the first night. This site has a shelter and a toilet, which helped a lot because we arrived very late in the dark that night. We switched to Black wattle the next day. It is slightly bigger and the view of landscape is more open than Monkey Rock. We enjoyed both campsites and saw many wildlife throughout the stay. Kangaroos hoping around, Giant Wood Moth (the heaviest moth in the world) visiting us every night, many birds, goats and cattle on the farm. James and his family are super friendly and helpful too!
