A modern caravan is available (from 1st March) as an accommodation option at Curlew Camp during the cooler seasons (not available during Summer) You will need to book the campsite first and then add the caravan during your booking as an extra fee of $85 per night. If you book for 3+ nights you will receive a DISCOUNT of $10 per night: you must message us for the discount code before you book so that you can save during the booking process.

Please note that half the property is surrounded by water so may not be suitable for young children. The entire front of the property has lake frontage and the western side is a channel. Curlew Camp is situated at the mouth of the channel that feeds into the back of Lake Cargelligo. Curlew Camp is a gem - if you love wide open spaces, fishing or birding, beautiful sunrises and sunsets - then this is your place 💙

Second visit to this camp and didn't disappoint. Beautiful spot with wide water frontage and a massive site. Now has everything a good site needs. Toilet, shelter and rubbish disposal. There is even a water tank to make use of any rainfall.
There are fish to be caught and a huge variety of birdlife. Just a great place to camp

We had a beautiful camp at Curlew Camp. It was very peaceful and a beautiful sunset. And we were very lucky to see a Rakali swim close by to the shore. 👍 hoping to return sometime in the future with the grandchild.

Another great stay at Curlew. Beautiful spot with plenty of space and use of kayaks, shelter, tables and water tank. New improvements such as compost toilet will make an amazing hipcamp even better. Perfect for dogs. Great hosts and generous wood amount if ordered. Highly recommend

This was our 2nd attempt at staying here, wet weather got in the way last year ! This was everything we thought and hoped it to be Stunning scenery, lots of space , great set up with table, fire pit etc. 2 caravans. 2 dogs, 2 nights. Left very reluctantly. Definitely going back.

We are fairly experienced hip campers, and Curlew Waters is totally on the top shelf. From excellent directions, clear signage, to a mountain of firewood waiting for us, we just loved it. A great break from a busy week, we just itched to get the camera out and soak in the tranquility. Thank you so much for having us, loved this beautiful place.

It's a beautiful spot on the lake, with its own beach and little woods full of birds. The camping setup was basic but spot on, with shelter, fireplace, water, wood delivered as an option extra, and gorgeous views. Its also much more private than the free camps - a great option for a stopover or a holiday base in its own right.

We loved our stay at Curlew Hip Camp it was so relaxing and the bird life was exceptional.One of the best things that attracted us was the huge undercover area,having some fresh water from a tank and firewood supplied for a fire on arrival was fantastic.

The owner was very kind and friendly to us and very responsive during communications. Real delight to deal with. They had left a nice booklet for us to browse through and get briefed on the town and the nature around the campsite.
The site is rough enough to make it fun and all about the wilderness but has some comforts like a rainwater tank, and a very nice sturdy shelter.
Lastly for the nature itself - nothing less than amazing. When we were there, there were a lot of beached fish from the cold waters I guess. The birds were feasting and we had a delightful spot right in the middle of it all. Our dog loves guarding the territory and playing around with the dead fish.
The kayaks are awesome too, add a bit of something to do whilst we were there.
Very good experience. More than what we expected, very reasonable costs too. Couldn't ask for better.

Great place to stay close to Lake Cargelligo but private and serene. Good fishing and abundant bird life with amazing night skies. Level site close to the water, heaps of room, easy access and the shelter was a bonus. Highly recommended.

WOW! A highlight of our trip. A beautiful, large, flat grassy site next to the beautiful Curlew Waters. The permanent shelter was great for shading us from the afternoon sun. The bins and water tank are an awesome addition to making your stay more comfortable. We loved using the free kayaks to kayak out on the Curlew Waters and enjoying an afternoon swim with our dogs - the entrance being easy and water temperature beautiful. Close to town for essentials. Perfect for self contained campers looking for relaxation or bird watching!
