Despite its remote feel, this glamping retreat is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Kangaroo Valley town, where you can explore quaint shops, enjoy delicious local produce, swim & kayaking. 

The Luxury Glamping Pod

At the heart of the camping area, is the luxury glamping pod—a 6-meter, The Bowery Dome, a geodesic dome structure designed to blend elegance, comfort, and adventure. This architectural haven offers a unique stay experience — a perfect harmony of modern design and rustic charm.

One of the highlights of this retreat is the outdoor experience. Beyond the glamping pod, you’ll find a private campfire area, with outdoor cooking setup including a cast-iron cooking kit, A fire pit with a grill plus crockery etc. A rustic seating area, inviting you to relax and soak in the incredible views while enjoying a meal in the great outdoors.

We believe in providing a comfortable stay while maintaining a sustainable footprint. Your stay includes access to: A private outhouse with a hot shower, allowing you to refresh after a day of exploring. A composting toilet, designed to be odor-free and environmentally friendly. A washing-up area, so you can clean up easily after meals.

While the luxury glamping pod is the centerpiece of the experience, the property also allows for  two additional campsites for those who prefer to bring their own tents or have friends coming along.

Grady's Riverside Retreat

Grady’s Riverside Retreat was first established in 1979. The retreat is located 20 minutes west of Nowra and is set on 17 secluded acres on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River, surrounded by natural bushland, mountains, cliffs and dairy pastures. This makes Grady’s Riverside Retreat an ideal place to bring your friends and family to relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery. Grady’s has over 500 metres of direct access to the Shoalhaven River. The river is deep and also is tidal which means we have a large variety of fresh and saltwater fish that inhabit these waters. Majority of our well maintained grassy sites are located along the river or have uninterrupted river views. With a boat ramp and beach areas for you to utilise at your leisure.

Grady's is a pet friendly Retreat and we also allow campfires. We strongly believe these few extra things are essential to create a true camping experience.

The park grounds are well maintained throughout the year. The amenities are fresh and cleaned daily. If you are the adventurous type there are many activities to offer in the vicinity such as canoeing, fishing, swimming, bushwalks, 4WDriving, bike riding, jet skiing, water skiing and much more. -The picturesque banks of the Shoalhaven River play host to the perfect escape from the burdens of city life. Only 2 hours from Sydney but feels like a world away. Amongst the trees and under the clear blue sky, sit around your campfire and allow yourself the time to reflect, reconnect, and revel in nature's abundance.

It’s a quiet, inclusive bush escape 5 minute drive from the sandy white beaches where you can enjoy nature without crowds, noise, or pressure — just open skies, birdsong, and room to breathe.

Tall trees create a canopy above, their branches swaying in the breeze. In this serene setting, you feel a profound sense of peace and connection to the natural world.

Lyrebirds Nest

Welcome to Lyrebirds Nest, a quiet bush escape. 

Lyrebirds Nest cottage is situated in the bush with forest views from the balcony and rooms. The cottage is setup for glamping with an wood stove, queen bed (BYO linen), sofa, electricity, filtered water (hot and cold), hot indoor shower and composting toilet. A bar fridge and microwave is also provided. The open fire is not to be used. 

The surrounding land on the property includes a lake with jetty, sauna, olive grove, orchard and chicken coup. 

There are great hikes on the property or you can follow the creek and continue into the State Forest.

There is plenty of wildlife to see, a bird lovers paradise with plenty of Lyrebirds, king parrots, black cockatoos to name a few. 

You're welcome to stay in the cottage or camp by the lake.

Located half way between Canberra and Sydney, and 15 minutes walk from Penrose station with easy access to all the Southern Highlands has to offer.

Surfside Cudmirrah Beach

Surfside Cudmirrah Beach is a small family-owned and operated holiday park located on beautiful Cudmirrah Beach. At times, Cudmirrah feels like a secret little hamlet that no one has ever heard of (it’s pronounced Cud-mee-rah). Located near the township of Sussex Inlet, right next door to Berrara and surrounded by Conjola National Park, visitors to Cudmirrah Beach are spoilt for choice with many options for enjoying the outdoors.

Cudmirrah Beach is ideal for long beach walks at any time of year, you can either walk north to Sussex Inlet (and take the dog who will love you for it) or south to Berrara then all the way to Bendalong if you are feeling adventurous!

Look for the small orange arrow - it's pointing to the property which sits on a ridge line that leads right to the top of the escarpment.

Mellows Ridge

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. 

It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.

As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars.  If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.

Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.

We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.

Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

We just finished this shower under the house. It's $9 for 4 minutes because nothing about off grid is remotely cheap or easy - but the view is epic.

The Sanctuary Retreat

This is a private retreat stay (you receive the whole bottom level of the house), private bathroom, and kitchenette (no stove top) on shared land with the owner. You are the only guests and enjoy exclusive, unlimited use of the:

Your room includes a double bed, sofa be,d and single bed.

A boutique retreat hideaway set amidst the breathtaking backdrop of The Woronora Valley of The Dharawal tribe.

Reconnect to your inner peace & creative ‘dream-like’ natural state, inspired by The Woronora Valley. This translates to 'Dreamtime Valley' by the First Nations of the Eora Nation.
