Year ten for campers at our Farm! We hope you find the peace and beauty we've had ever since we fell in love with this property in 2012. We have welcomed a number of people from across the US as well as from several other countries. We love to share our beautiful, organic farm with friends and family as well as strangers-to-friends through Hipcamp. Take a day, weekend, or week to enjoy time in our special space!
Pitch your tent or set up your camper in the primary sites next to or near the creek. 360-degree views of the mountains with famous Cold Mountain and Mt Pisgah among the views to our South. There are two large fire pits for the chillier nights/mornings and to use for cooking. We can supply firewood, as needed, for a small fee. It's best that you request firewood when you book your site: we don't allow your own firewood or fire logs. We have access to clean water as well as flowing water in the creek. No portapotty at this time. Check out the pictures for other views.
For hikers or mountain bikers: Chestnut Mountain Nature Park includes trails for both interests just 10-12 minutes away from the Farm. The Berm Park is part of this wonderful network of multi-use trails. Waynesville has a new bike park for pump track and BMX bicyles. It's open to all family members. There are also a number of other trailheads within 45 minutes of the farm to include Little Sam Knob Trailhead and the Art Loeb/Cold Mountain Trailhead off of Hwy 215 (for hikers) and Hard Times Trailhead in Asheville for bikers and hikers. Take a look around before you come for other outdoor possibilities in the area to enjoy.

We live in Beaverdam Community just north of the town of Canton. We adore our land and do our best to preserve and care for the natural beauty around us. At the farm, June is firefly month and late September/October is leaf-peeping season (no need to drive to see either of those!). We have stunning views to wake up to and babbling of the creek to lull you to sleep.

Camping at this site offers a peaceful and scenic escape, nestled beside a creek with beautiful mountain views. The hosts are consistently praised for their friendliness and hospitality, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere. Guests appreciate the convenience of being close to Asheville while enjoying the tranquility of the countryside. The presence of a soothing stream and access to local attractions like hiking trails and small-town celebrations add to the experience.
This is a gorgeous creekside grassy parking area on the edge of the farm property. Beautiful sunset views in the mountains and dark skies for star viewing. Wonderful camping spot near Asheville! Most hospitable and friendly hosts!
Sadly, I only had one short night to spend at the farm as I was passing through to the Smokies, but it was a wonderful stay. Kelly was very communicative and met me around 10:30pm to show me to my site. The farm is beautiful situated between mountains with rolling hills and a small creek running beside the site. It's only 20 min to Asheville, 10 to Canton, and 1-1.5hrs from a ton of great hiking. Best part was Kelly let me pick a couple quarts of blueberries fresh from the farm. I look forward to spending more time next go around!
Had an awesome time getting to hangout and just be at the farm. Perfect place to use my roof top tent for the first time. Beautiful setting. Heard two different owls and watched the sunrise.
This place is truly breathtaking! The site is level ground with a creek surrounded by mountains. They have great fire pits and the hosts were so incredibly kind and fun! They helped me build a nice fire and they also offer packets to throw in the fire for colored flames, which I was really excited about! They also brought me a cornhole set up that you can order with your booking. I will defietly be back..maybe this trip. You can truly get a sense of mountain life here. I loved it!!
Beautiful campsite next to a lovely mountain stream. Area is grassed and flat. Amazing sunset views overlooking Cold mountain. The hosts were superbly friendly and helpful. Directions were easy. Will definitely be back!
What a beautiful space! So serene and peaceful. Kelly was a gracious host! The mountain views
and stars were amazing. We slept really well with the calming stream next to us. We really enjoyed the little trail full of wildflowers!
It's a short 20 minute drive to Asheville, which is another plus. We are grateful for the experience. We will be back!
We had such a nice time!! Beautiful property, and we loved our morning walk around the property. The chickens were a wonderful bonus! Kelly was such a hospitable host and we will most definitely be back in the future!
We where a little skeptical thinking that it would be filled with a lot of people and not being very private. The area is awesome!! We where the only people there, but there was enough room for others if needed!!! Has a small creek. Doesn't have the best access to the creek but my kids found a way in there to play around. The sound was very soothing. Kelly and her husband where very helpful and friendly. It rained on us one day and they offered to dry our sleeping bags at their house for us. We went there for the 4th of July. It was close to Canton and Maggie Valley. Those towns paint a great picture of the small town USA 4th of July celebrations. There was a carnival in Canton and my kids loved it. Plenty of food trucks and live music. Also the Brewery in Canton offers floating down the river ending at the Brewery.
The location is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and many waterfalls. My daughter and I escaped one morning to go mountain biking at the famous Berm Park. Super cool trails and only 10 minutes away. Plan on coming back with my mountian biking friends for a nice weekend.
Kelly was super welcoming and invited us to take a walk around the property. We were able to see the chickens and her beautiful flowers. The camp site is right on a creek, the land was mowed and there was a hammock and picnic table for us to use. I would definitely recommend staying at the Far Flung Farm!
We spent a beautiful night truck camping at Far Flung Farm, backed up to the creek! Gorgeous sunsets, fireflies, and campfire. Easy to get to, close to Asheville and GSMNP, but lots of privacy! Kelly was a great host, will stay again!
Excellent campground. Babbling brook to soothe the mind and body. Good base for mtb at Berm (6 mile road ride to it). Ben and Kelly are great hosts - friendly and informative. Very private while we were there with no other campers.
Great spot close to Asheville but far enough out. Owners were very friendly and my 3 yr old had so much fun walking the property and feeding the chickens. She’s still talking about it days later. Beautiful country.
Very clean camp area and friendly owners. I would camp here again. It would be great for a large group. We had another 2 person group come in and enjoyed sitting around the communal fire pit and chatting with our neighbors .
This site is gorgeous! A really lovely view. Kelly is a great communicator, and the place could not get much more peaceful. I will certainly be back again sometime!
Great hosts! Ben has a great amount of information and is as friendly as can be. The creek is a huge plus and I would highly recommend this stay if you’re looking for an easy campsite or just want to get out of the house.
Booked at the last minute and had never been here before but felt very welcomed. Super accommodating and helpful. Wonderful property, beautiful views and very peaceful.
My wife an I had a great stay at Kellys farm. She and her husband gave us a warm welcome. We stayed next to the river and a camp fire place. Will definitely stay there again.
Place is great. Kelly met us at the gate with a friendly smile and some fun conversation. We had the place to ourself so we parked next to the creek. Between the sound of the stream and the views the place is breathtaking. You can’t help but relax.
We came to ride Mt bikes and the place is a out 10 min from Berm Park one way and 20 minutes to Hard Times Trail Head the other.
We highly recommend Kelly’s place and expect to book again ourselves.
We spend an amazing evening at the fire beside the river. Kelly, Ben and the hens are the sweetest!! I highly recommend and am looking forward to visiting again.
