Welcome to Frog Hollow. Feel free to hike up to the bench, past the deck, on the hill or over to the chairs and table nest to the field where the sheep and donkey are at the other side of the creek. Keep an eye out in the mornings, you may see a family or two of wild turkeys or deer cruising the property. Kick back, relax and enjoy the tranquility of the seasonal running stream and property. Situated on 12 acres, our property is a great spot where you can unplug, unwind and simply check out from your daily chaos. Sit back and enjoy the songs of the evening crickets and frogs. We are located on Hwy 41, a 10 minute drive to the coast, the famous Morro Rock, and 20 minutes from both San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles where you will find shopping, fine restaurants and plenty of local wineries in the area. We are lucky to have over 300 award winning wineries in our area so if you like wine, this is a great place to tour and taste! Frog Hollow is perfectly located for the weekend break or a leisurely mid-week holiday. Come visit us and check out our lovely land and quaint comfy living. Sabyl, our Border Collie, is around and may head down to greet you at some point during your stay. Our free standing casita is cozy and nestled in a natural serene creekside setting. The loft has a spacious queen size bed for your sleeping pleasure with adjustable reading lights on either side of the bed. The living area offers a fold down couch for another adult or 2 kids. There is a kitchenette with a toaster oven, electric tea kettle and coffee maker. There is a charcoal Weber bbq grill and a propane gas 2 burner stove. We provided a propane fire pit during the fire ban, bring propane and charcoal etc. There is a well lit private bathroom with hot shower and flushable toilet 20 yards away. Please bring your own towels. Please use that shower for the casita. We have a moderate climb hiking trail down the road, Cerro Alto, that offers beautiful views of our coastline. Simply sit back and watch the the wild turkeys and deer roaming freely on our land, or head out to taste some of San Luis Obispo County award winning wines. Pack in and pack out your trash please.

The campsite offers a mix of experiences, with some visitors highlighting its peaceful and secluded atmosphere, ideal for a nature retreat near Morro Bay. However, cleanliness and maintenance issues are frequently noted, with reports of cobwebs, rodent droppings, and outdated furniture detracting from the overall experience. While some guests appreciate the cozy and quaint setup, others have been disappointed by the lack of upkeep, which doesn't align with the expectations set by the listing photos. The location is praised for its proximity to attractions, but potential visitors should weigh the rustic charm against the reported sanitation concerns.

Overall I am very unsatisfied by this listing. I saw the positive rating being 96% so I decided to book this place but after looking at the reviews left by other people. I will disclose that it is in fact needing some work. I wouldn’t really say that it is glamping but more of a mid way between a tent camping and glamping. Had some issue looking for the house during the evening and also if you have Verizon then you won’t get service. One thing nice is that you are away from your busy world. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you want a glamping experience for the price which was paid tho. Need more work done to equate the cost of the cabin.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!! The place was very dirty, here is a list of everything: - The whole placed looked abandon. - Spider webs everywhere inside of the cabin. I have stayed in plenty of cabins, it's normal to see spider webs outside but not inside, on the grill, or porch. - There was a dead lizard in the garbage can. - The furniture outside was very old and in bad condition, most cushions were ripped. - The couch inside had some bad stains and it smell bad. - The bedding smell too. We had to purchase blankets in order to sleep. - The dish sponge was disgusting. - There was standing water with rotting leaves in the shower and smell quite bad. - There was standing water in the recycling bin and it also smell bad. - The corner of the outhouse was bent and the hand rail to get in was broken. - There was rat pee and poop in multiple places in the outhouse, including right next to the toilet paper. The pee was dried, which means it had been there for several days at least. This shows they didn't clean the place before our arrival. This is simply not acceptable, it's very unsanitary. - The outhouse lights were not working. This place is in awful conditions and should not even be listed. I wish I could upload all the photos so people can see the actual conditions of this place.

I stayed at this casita about 5 years ago and loved it so much that we went back this past weekend. I was so excited to go back but ended up leaving the trip very disappointed. It looks like this place hasn’t been cleaned/kept up for awhile now. The cooking area has a lot of leaves and spider webs, rodent droppings and flies in the restroom, couch and blankets were dirty, spiders above the bed and outdoor shower was full of leaves. To top it off, I think the septic tank is full so when we washed dishes, the whole casita started to smell like feces. The hot water for the shower didn’t work as well. I was counting down the min to leave this place unfortunately :( with a bit of TLC and a whole lot of cleaning, I think this place can be magical again. Really hoping things turn around cuz it really was magical before.
