JD was so warm and welcoming!! Loved the location of his camping set up, it was private in the woods and only about 10
Minutes into the town of Berkeley Springs! JD supplied us with EVERYTHING we could have needed and more. Water for drinking, washing and to put out the fire, a wash station, tables, a fire pit, cooking area- he even gave us eggs and had games we could play. Would love to go back for another weekend away in the woods!!

JD went out of their way to make us feel comfortable! In todays busy world making space for individuals accommodations if often an accessory. Josh and Dewey made us feel welcomed and appreciated. We were in town to look at properties and attend the Apple Butter festival and JD made it so easy to flex and move with our schedule. Not only that they were so open to sharing about their experiences and what to explore in the area. I cannot recommend they’re beautiful, comfortable, space enough. Fire pit, rocket stove, picnic table, fresh eggs? and good folks in a quiet tree lined enclave :-)

Great camping near Berkeley Springs
J and D's campsite was amazing! Loved that it was a short drive to Berkeley Springs for fun activities (including the Apple Butter Festival when we were there) and grocery shopping, but was enough off the beaten path to feel immersed in nature for the true camping experience. The site was well cared for, clean, and had nice touches like a mini wood-burning camp stove, which we used to make coffee in the morning. Dewey even brought us freshly cut flowers, eggs, and tomatoes/peppers from his farm. Would recommend this site for others and hope to return in the future!

J & D are so sweet and generous!
They were more than accommodating after a couple glitches in our plans, and even shared fresh eggs and Green beans and peppers with us. There were cute cut flowers on the picnic table, a potty and solar shower, and the sandy tent pad was a really nice treat. It was chilly and rained all night and in the morning they offered (and we accepted!) hot coffee and a yummy breakfast. We had no idea it was a big festival weekend, so we felt extra lucky to find such a sweet spot.

Dewey’s land was perfect! When we arrived, he had a lovely bouquet of fresh herbs and flowers centered on the table. He even shared some tomatoes from his garden and eggs from his hens with us. He gave us a brief history of the land and showed us how to work everything. We had our privacy, but Dewey used the app to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. We will be going back for sure, everything was great.

The site was lovely! Surrounded by trees and felt very private and spacious. JD was a lovely host, easily reachable if we needed anything!
We enjoyed that the site felt very private and quiet, but was just a short drive into town. Also we didn't have any mosquitos! Don't know if we were just lucky, but we enjoyed it!

Fantastic spot! Our host was so welcoming and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Close to town but in some beautiful woods. I would gladly stay here again.

It was a beautiful campsite with plenty of room. The host was very friendly and helpful and provided us with things we needed like water and firewood! I would definitely come back again.

My girlfriend Amanda & I had such an amazing time staying on James & Dewey’s property. Dewey is who we interacted with during our stay and was SO hospitable. He greeted us with a petit vase of mountain flowers and a pale of fresh eggs from their chickens on the property.
The site was well-stocked with firewood, water (for dishwashing, drinking, and putting out fires), eggs, and trash bags (both for refuse and the pop-up outhouse)!
Throughout our stay, Dewey checked up on us to see how we were doing and re-stocked us on whatever we needed (whenever we needed it), but still made it a point to respect our privacy.
Most of the property is on a slant, but they have leveled off the picnic table and tent areas. There is also an INCREDIBLE cast-iron stovepipe, perfect for cooking and boiling water. I love it and will have to get one for myself.
Overall, we enjoyed an amazing stay, and if we ever find ourselves in this neck of the woods again, we will ensure the grounds are booked, so you will have to look elsewhere! Thanks so much, J & D!

Great Berkeley Springs Site

This was such a great place to camp and the hosts are very friendly folks who kindly gave us some eggs from their lovely layers.
I almost don’t want to write a review as glowing as this site deserves because I selfishly want to book it whenever I want. The campsite was very comfortable and very close to town. When members of my group forgot some supplies (a tent! How do you forget your tent?) the hosts let us use one. I will definitely be booking a stay with them again before the summer is up

Dewey was a great host, we got in very late and he met us and got us set up and even provided us a ton of amenities and even some eggs from their chickens!! Loved the spot and the area is Beautiful!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed camping on Josh and Dewey's land. Their thoughtful touches and well-equipped campsite made camping feel a little more luxurious.
Both Dewey and Josh were incredibly kind and accessible to us during our stay. They made sure we had enough water and wood which made camping a breeze. Dewey even brought us some eggs and beautiful lil bouquet! Thank you so much for welcoming us on to your land.

Wild, Wonderful, and Well Equipped!
We had a lovely time camping at JD's property. The site was serene, relaxing, surrounded by woods and private. We have camped all over the world and this was the best set up tent camping site I have ever used. From the soft sand of the tent area to the picnic table that converted into benches to the solar powered lights around the outhouse no detail was left unfinished. We were provided with clean drinking water, water to wash dishes, firewood and the tools to chop more as well as a rocket stove which made quick work of boiling water. The owners even gave us fresh cut zinnias from their flower bed, eggs from their chickens and peppers from their garden. They also provided us with a couple of family games to play. The adjoining neighbor's property is covered in a network of trails where we enjoyed watching wildlife and playing in the stream. A 10/10 all the way.

I very much enjoyed my overnight at WWW! Dewey is a welcoming and accomodating host. He'd even placed a small bouquet of fresh picked zinnias on the picnic table. The site is private, clean and quiet. It's basic, but has all one needs. I would stay there again!

We had a wonderful weekend here! The site was clean, well-maintained and very private. It really is "well-equipped" as advertised. The site had a picnic table, fire pit, chopped firewood (and an axe so we could cut our own), and a large fresh water container for us to use. There is no bathroom, but there is a nicely set up and clean camping toilet which worked well for us.
Dewey was very kind throughout our stay. He was available if we had any questions and even brought us fresh eggs from his chickens! Berkeley Springs is a wonderful little slice of heaven and I would definitely go back. Dog friendly!!

If you’re looking for a private, peaceful spot to pitch a tent with quick access to Berkeley Springs, WV, Wild, Wonderful, and Well-Equipped is a great spot.
Upon our arrival to WWW, our kind hosts, Josh and Dewey, warmly welcomed my husband and I to their Hipcamp. I can honestly say that Josh and Dewey’s thoughtful reception made this trip for us. They were so generous and considerate in helping us get set-up and comfortable. The fresh eggs they brought for us from their hens was unexpected and most appreciated. Thank you! Josh and Dewey also generously took the time to show us around the property and
highlight all the available amenities/ facilities at this Hipcamp, as well as offer some great recommendations on local attractions.
During our stay at WWW, my husband and I set up our tent in the quiet seclusion offered at this site. The tall trees on the property offered abundant shade during the afternoon. The campsite itself was very well maintained and came equipped with a picnic table, tent plot, fire ring, rocket stove, large kettle, simple toilet facility, and more. Wild, Wonderful, and Well-Equipped is aptly named; My husband and I had everything we needed to have a comfortable camping experience.
Also worth mentioning about this Hipcamp is its unique, immediate accessibility to America’s grand trail systems. The Tuscarora Trail, which links up to the Appalachian Trail, is directly
connected to this property. If you like to hike, you won’t even need to get in your car.

My sister and I loved our camping getaway in West Virginia heaven! Dewey was the perfect host - we were well equipped with everything we needed and he showed us around the property. We also loved the thoughtful touches like a little bar of local soap and eggs from their chickens. Close to tons of great hikes and a short drive from downtown Berkeley springs. Highly recommend!
