Great little spot, and close enough to town to make it an easy getaway. Appreciated the hospitality and the clean, useful amenities. The kids had a heap of fun running around and playing, jumping on the trampoline and generally getting dirty and away from screens. Was great to sneak in a tasting at the distillery too – will definitely be back.

Camping at Breakaway Farmstay

Breakaway Farmstay was a beautiful, peaceful Hipcamp. I absolutely loved my short stay there. I slept perfectly in my van, surrounded by trees, there’s highland cows and sheep in the surrounding paddocks. If you’re with Optus or Vodafone you’ll have no service but apparently Telstra does. There’s two great camping spots: one on grass and another up among the trees with lots of space (my pick). Best of all, there were no mozzies, which made it even more comfortable. The bathrooms and shower were clean and well kept, and there’s even a pool for warmer weather plus a distillery on site. It’s also just a 5 minute drive to Waitpinga Beach, where I watched a quiet, stunning sunset. I want to thank Robert for hosting me, such a beautiful, off grid part of the world.

The farm is beautiful and well-equipped, not too far from the city center, making it a great place to escape the hustle and bustle and recharge. The host was very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend it.

A lovely, peaceful spot to camp. Very close to stunning Waitpinga Beach Rob was very welcoming and friendly plus the added bonus of Moo's Distillery where we enjoyed drinks and pizza. Highly recommended 👌

Our experience at the campsite was amazing. We were very well welcomed, and the staff made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The environment is pleasant and perfect for relaxing. I would definitely recommend it!

Perfect Getaway

We had a really peaceful and enjoyable stay at Waitpinga Breakaway Farm Stay, camping at the non-powered Wagon Flat site. The grounds were well maintained and the site was spacious enough for us to feel comfortable and relaxed, even though other campers were nearby. It still felt calm and private enough for a proper getaway. The portable toilet was clean and convenient, which made things easy without taking away from the camping experience. We also loved being able to walk across to Moos Distillery and can highly recommend the gluten-free pizza and the arancini balls. Robert was incredibly welcoming and friendly, which really set the tone for the stay. We will definitely be booking again for a relaxing break away and would happily recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind.

awesome place to camp!! so quiet and the stars were so bright. We lived being out under the eucalyptus trees and seeing the cattle and kangaroos. And then when it got "too" quiet, we could hop on over to Moose distillery and meet the most wonderful people! thank you Robert and Jaymes and family for a wonderful experience!

Lovely stay at the Breakaway farm c

We had a great one night stay at the Breakaway farm campsite! We were greeted by the lovely Robert who showed us where to park and was happy to help with any questions. The site was flat and easy to find space for some privacy. We enjoyed the animals on site, having the goats as neighbours whilst we ate dinner. We visited on a very hot day, so were pleased to find a communal area for some shade and wifi, and noticed they even had an indoor pool that some guests were enjoying.

Lovely property with great facilities. The kids loved the swings, trampoline and watching the goats. The location was convenient for us: only 11 minutes from Victor Harbour and 40 minutes from Cape Jervis ferry terminal. Robert was a very welcoming host and super helpful. Wish we had longer to check out the distillery!

It was a great relaxing weekend. No phone coverage and it really allows you to switch off and relax. Kids were able to be kids and enjoy nature. Rob was great and the distillery was wonderful.

We came two years ago to Wagon Flat #1 and loved it more on the return. Flat with wavy field grass and yellow flowers, plenty of space for kids to roam around.

Best camping stay in SA!

Was greeted in the distillery less than a 2-minute walk from the campsite. Very clean toilet close to the camps (30 second walk) and more at the distillery. Camp site is a private, large space on grass and good soil for tents, with a fire pit and beautiful views of highland cows, sheep, fields and hills. Distillery offers meals and a great, comfortable place to sit and watch the sunset and the cows with a warm fire. We will 100% be returning and all agree that it has been our favourite stay in SA. 10/10 ✨🐮

Great Location!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful spot. It was such a peaceful location, Rob was really welcoming and there was a mix of feeling off grid but also having some facilities nearby if we wanted to use them. The fire pit was a nice touch as well. We only had a couple of days but felt like we could spend a week there.

Relaxing Farm Stay

Great farm stay. Very relaxing and quiet. Nice and close to Victor Harbour. Toilet, shower facilities (both exceptionally clean), power, water made things easy. Phone reception and internet not great if this is an issue for you, wasn’t for us. Rob the host is a real gentleman. Loved watching the goats and the highland cows while having a drink by the fire each evening.
