Ilbilbie Station 5 stars!!
Ilbilbie Station felt like exhaling. Slow mornings, warm afternoons and that soft hum of farm life rolling around you like a soundtrack.
We camped among curious cattle and the friendliest horses you’ll ever meet, the sort that wander over like regulars doing their morning rounds, nudge in for a pat, then trot off again like they’ve got appointments to keep.
The creek was pure magic. Clear, cool and the perfect antidote to Queensland heat. With kayaks, paddleboards, rope swings and a flying fox that sent kids shrieking across the water. We spent hours drifting up and down the creek, watching our reflections ripple like glass.
Each campsite has its own firepit, crackling away at night, throwing sparks into the dark. The weekend was a bit of a buzz, families rolling in, kids running wild. But during the week?
Quiet. Secluded. Like the whole station takes a deep breath with you.
And honestly… who doesn’t love a self‑closing gate. Peak farmstay luxury!!
Warm hosts, wide spaces, gentle animals and that easy, grounded feeling you only get on a working station.
Highly recommend this farmstay.
