Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property. There is nice shady, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river. All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

Coming to Hold it Flats it's always an enjoyable experience. The land is beautiful and the creek is so clean and fresh. Katie- Ann also offers fresh coffee in them morning to make it even more enjoyable!

Over the Hill Private Functions

‘Over the Hill’ was an excellent choice for a big ‘0’ celebration. The grounds were beautiful and the privacy of having only you and your guests camping in the one area was great. I liked not having to worry about disturbing other campers if we were a little noisy. Katie was very helpful and welcoming.

Hold It Flats Track Side Camping

What a great spot!

Wow! This was our first trip to hold it flats and it certainly did not dissapoint! The host, Katie Anne was lovely, met us at the gate to check us in and bought firewood to our site. Everything was immaculate, the toilets and showers were not only super clean but smelt nice, there were firepits everywhere, also clean and ready for your campfire, the camp kitchen, also always clean, even the grass had been freshly cut. Katie Anne does not seem to stop working ever and it shows. Also despite being somewhere that is obviously popular with the locals, most campers were families or couples, we heard no late night noise or parties, even though there were numerous large groups. We really liked that they cap the numbers too. We stayed trackside, just a short walk to the creek, accross the road, as the creekside and adjacent area were full. There was still plenty of space creekside, they could still have fit quite a lot more campers in, if they wanted to, but didn't. Everyone had plenty of space. Well done Hold it flats, this is our new favourite camp ground, we will be back for sure.
