Carie is awsome as usual best place for camping, host is very quick and very responsive, clean, well maintained place, very quiet, very private and very friendly.
If you’re looking for a place to relax and a quiet get away weekend that’s the place
We loved our experience on the farm. What a treat to sit and watch bison in a beautiful country setting. It was nice to unwind, listen to the laughter of our boys playing in the creek, and telling stories around the campfire while we made bison burgers, which were fantastic! It was exactly what we needed to end our summer. I would highly recommend this quiet, charming, and unique experience to anyone who wants to get away and off the grid.

White Tail Tipi
Our family and dogs had an amazing time. The site was very clean, accommodating and all the basic needs were provided. We slept so peacefully and enjoyed taking in the sunrises and sunsets. We definitely plan on returning. Thank you!

Bison Tipi Retreat
It was so cool to sleep in a teepee. I also got to bring along my dog which was great . We got to see the bison and then while other people were close by we could not hear them and it was like we were by ourselves. I would 100% recommend this place and will be coming back .
Carie provides everything and more for your stay. The trip was fantastic and the bison tipi was perfect and spacious. My husband and I also took a dip in the creek for a little cold plunge!

Quiet peaceful and the majestic beauty of the bison across the path.
This place was honestly magical. It felt so open and peaceful, completely tucked away from everything with tons of privacy, which was exactly what we were hoping for. The property itself was absolutely beautiful, and seeing the bison made the whole experience even cooler and more memorable.
Carie was amazing! She was so friendly, down to earth, kind, and accommodating, and you can tell she has really thought of everything to make the stay easy and enjoyable. There were supplies to help get the fire going, sticks for roasting marshmallows, cubbies where we could buy firewood, an outhouse stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and even string lights inside the teepee that made it feel so cozy at night. There were so many thoughtful little touches that we really appreciated.
We had such an amazing time and genuinely didn’t want to leave. If you’re looking for somewhere beautiful, private, peaceful, and a little magical to get away from everything, I would absolutely recommend staying here. We will definitely remember this trip for a long time!

Bison Tipi Retreat
Our family absolutely loved staying in the tipi! The farm is gorgeous! Watching the bison was a highlight and cooking bison burgers and steak over the fire was memorable! There were so many beautiful outdoor sounds as we drifted of to sleep-sooo peaceful! The walking trails and creek play were wonderful! And the kindness from the owners is unmatched.

Loved the stay in the Teepee. I was in a rush this weekend, so unfortunately didn't get to see much of the walking trails of store, but I would like to come back again some day
We had a great experience at Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch! The campsite was very nice and clean, and the tepee was so cool! Such a unique experience! The bison were in the field when we arrived, we didn’t have to wait at all to see them. There were several young calves as well, very cute.

I'm not a camper or into camping but given the opportunity to stay in a giant teepee and have a giant mattress was all I needed to hear. This was my 3rd time there and I love it. So peaceful and relaxing. I'm greatful that they offer this opportunity to stay at their large bison ranch and enjoy some simple life
This camp site is THE place! Beautiful, quiet, and the host has thought of everything. The cooking supplies, food prep surface, toilet setup, and amenities inside the tipi are wonderful. Communication was top notch. A mom and girls felt very safe. We would love to come back!

We had the absolute best time, Carie was an incredibly kind host. Our Tipi was set up and ready to go when we got there with everything that we could possibly need. I can’t recommend this place enough. My kids, dogs and I had the greatest time and have never been more relaxed or happy. Thank you so much for sharing your space with us. We will be back. If you’re thinking about visiting this place book, it do yourself a favour and book it right now. I guarantee you will not have a better stay anywhere else. The bison were so cool to see up close. The creek is perfect for swimming in. The water is clean. The grounds are gorgeous and wonderful to explore. It’s quiet and peaceful on everything you could ever want.

Bison Tipi Retreat
What a wonderful, unique experience! Excellent and communicative host as well.
We absolutely loved staying at the ranch! We planned to stay one night and extended our trip to stay another night in the teepee! My husband and I had the most magical time and can’t wait to explore the area again soon! You will love everything about this beautiful property!

What a unique and incredible experience! Thank you Carie for the experiences and memories to last a lifetime. Our experience echoed that of the many positive reviews left before us. Carie truly did think of everything and we had everything we needed for our stay. We purchased some bison meat to take home and my son was excited that he got take home some peacock feathers as a souvenir. We hope to be back!
Our stay at the Tipi was amazing! Meeting Carie at the front house and having our fresh bison burgers hand delivered was just the start. The property was beautiful and well maintained. As the sun set the lightening bugs lit up the entire campsite. It was truly a magical stay and we will definitely return hopefully with some friends for a longer stay.
Beautiful area, well stocked site. The bison were very cool to see from a distance, but the fireflies at night were absolutely beautiful.

Bison Tipi Retreat
I can't even begin to describe all the amazing things about Carie and her land, but just some highlights: watching the bison graze in the field, listening to the peacocks and tree frogs sing all night, watching the fireflies light up the campsite and surrounding woods, playing in the creek, seeing the baby peafowl and learning all about them, and so very much more. The campsite, privy, and tipi were sparkling clean. Yummy bison burgers that we were able to pick up very easily, even with conflicting schedules. I'm already trying to plan a return trip! Just book the site, I promise you won't regret it!

Incredible place to stay. The Bison and Peacocks were truly majestic. The TeePee was just beautiful. Everything for cooking was provided. I barely had to unpack anything. Carie was such a lovely person too. She kept communication open but gave us plenty of privacy. Carie clearly puts a lot of love and effort into her animals, land, and Hipcamp space. 10/10 would recommend and stay again!
We’ve been coming every year since 2021. This place is incredible. It rained just a tad but that didn’t prevent us from having a good night sleep

Bison Tipi Retreat
We loved camping in the Teepee at the ranch! The Bison and peacocks were so entertaining!! We enjoyed playing in the creek. Plenty of amenities to cook all of our meals over the fire. The teepee was plenty big enough for 8 of us. Lots of shade at the campsite. Large private setting. We will be back!! Thank you
We just happened upon the Cherokee Bison Ranch at the last minute and it was meant to be. This site was the best Hipcamp site we’ve stayed at. What a special spot. Carie and Jarrod are warm, knowledgable and thoughtful hosts and my family of four enjoyed every minute learning about the bison, seeing the peacocks up close, and walking the expansive and peaceful property. The tipi was very comfortable and the site has lots of thoughtful touches like a percolator for coffee, a large container of water and tub for washing dishes, and a very clean and easy to use toilet. We biked around the nearby Buckeye Lake and made sure to taste a bison burger over the fire. We will definitely be back!!!

Awesome campsite, cool bison, and incredible host.
We traveled with our 2 adult sons and our 4 grandchildren. (3 of the grandchildren parents didn’t attend). The kids loved the teepee and we had a great time, but sadly we didn’t stay our second night because it rained ALL day. However we really liked the area and the site and teepee. We plan on returning another time.

Carie was an excellent host and more than accommodating. She even provided a propane heater for us as the weather was much colder than anticipated. The tipi was much bigger than we expected, and the cooking utensils and coffee maker was added bonus. We had a great time and created some wonderful memories. Thanks, Carie!

We booked the Bison Tipi Retreat for a last minute, late season trip to Nether’s Flint Quarry and I am so glad we did! The property is beautiful and unique to most stays one may find. We really enjoyed watching the bison eat by the light of the moon and hearing the creek that is nearby. The kitchen supplies were adequate for cooking our meals. The tipi was roomy. The camp toilet was clean and had no smell. We are already talking about a trip here next year! This was a great break from the hustle of everyday life.

We had a great time! The site is very well maintained, the nature was beautiful and Carie is very helpful and accommodating! We loved seeing the bison and cooking over the fire!
