Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. Here you can relax; watch nature; meet our chickens, goats, horse, cats, and dog; take guided tours to learn about the farm, animals, plants, archaeology, and history or learn to make mead; and purchase eggs and homegrown seasonal food and products. Listen to birdsong and watch clouds during the day, wander a path through our 5 acres of woods, see fireflies in the evening, and star watch at night. Nearby are hiking, horseback riding, historical sites, fishing, antiques, breweries, shooting, and more. We are located in a rural area and have many different domesticated and wild animals so you may hear diverse animal noises and see or smell animal poop, although we try to keep things clean and tidy. Our neighbors have dogs, cattle, and chickens/roosters and occasionally shoot guns during daylight hours (one neighbor is a sporting club with skeet shooting and hunting dogs) but typically our farm is a quiet and peaceful place. We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.

Park your small camper or pitch your tent(s) on an approximately 46 x 22-foot flat gravel area under cover of a large, high (~13-foot clearance) tractor shed. In nice weather, you can also park and/or pitch your tent(s) on the mown grass immediately surrounding the tractor shed. This area is located in a small pasture near the woods, grape arbors, and flower and veggie gardens. You'll very likely see deer, and may hear and/or see pheasants and chukars! Walk just up the hill to use the outhouse, shower house (add on a shower bag for $5/night), and in-ground firepit (add on a tote of fire-making supplies for $5/tote). Potable water is nearby next to the farmhouse. Please no arrivals after 9 pm (or after 10 pm if you've added a late check-in).

Park your vehicle or small camper or pitch your tent(s) in a private, approximately 60 x 40-foot grassy clearing completely shielded by dense native loblolly pines. Access the campsite from the farm driveway via a short cut in the trees (see photos). You may see deer and/or pheasants, as well as dramatic clouds and stars! Use the provided firepit (add on a tote of fire-making supplies for $5/tote) for ambience and/or cooking. It’s a 2-minute walk to a potable water pump and a 4-minute walk to the farmhouse, outhouse building, shower house, other Hipcamp sites, and wifi access. Of our three sites, Pine Alley is closest to the road and a neighbor's house. While you may hear rural road traffic (or very occasionally neighbors) while staying there, you won't see either due to the campsite's privacy. Please no arrivals after 9 pm (or after 10 pm if you've added a late check-in).

Looking for a rustic romantic getaway or some refreshing alone time? Don't want to sleep cramped in your vehicle or in a tent on the ground? Then relax and sleep on a comfortable bed under cover while still feeling a lovely breeze and enjoying beautiful views of the pastures and barn. Use the bistro table for meals, writing, or reading. Your hideaway is located under the shed roof of the farm's 70+ year old tobacco pack house (where tobacco was made ready for shipping to market). Outdoor curtains give you privacy from the farmhouse but you'll still be in the heart of farm activities, close to a luxurious outhouse, shower house (free with your own solar bag; or add on ours for $5/night), potable water, and a fire pit (add on a tote of fire-making supplies for $5/tote). A vintage double sink offers room for ice, beverages, and food. Electrical outlets are available upon request. Watch the farm animals during the day, then see the fireflies, hear the signing frogs, and view the stars at night. In the morning, awaken to the glow of sunrise and sounds of abundant birds and the farm's rooster. Please no arrivals after 9 pm (or after 10 pm if you've added a late check-in).

It was nice to know if rain came that I would stay dry under the tractor shed. Plenty of room for my tent and my car double that. You can hear road noise just slightly. Rebecca's land and camp sites are tidy, well built, beautiful, instructions are clear and it was peaceful.

Pine Alley Campsite
I loved tent camping at pine valley location. The long morning walk to the barn was perfect with a cup of coffee. Rebecca went above and beyond for my 7 and 8 year old. Lots of exploring and interaction with the animals. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back. Thanks for sharing your piece of heaven with us Rebecca!

Rebecca was an amazing host, she took the time to show us around the farm and let our eldest feed some of the animals. She was very thorough and friendly. The description of the camp site could not match beauty and how peaceful it was. It was nice sleeping under the large shelter of the tractor barn

We had a wonderful trip at the farm. It was a beautiful property with lots of spots to explore, including a secluded trail in the woods. Rebecca was a generous host and had everything set up beautifully, including the nicely decorated outhouses. Our kids loved petting the goats and horse. The evening was quiet and peaceful and we had a beautiful view of the stars. Will definitely be back again!

With a comfy bed and thousands of stars dancing in the sky that night...I very much enjoyed my stay with Rebecca on her beautiful land with a horse, goats, chickens, and 2 barn cats. Definitely on my list for a return visit whenever I find myself back in North Carolina.

The Ancient Springs Farm glamp site is a sweet marvel! The Tobacco Pack House is real rustic charm, it was so lovely sleeping in a comfy bed right next to masses of flowers and in sight of the stars. Rebecca is a wonderful host, caring and generous while respecting privacy. We loved the farm tour; Rebecca is also an inspiring caretaker of the land, sharing great information about the land, animals, plants and gardens. The farm breakfast and other extras were a rare treat. Looking forward to returning!

Rebecca was an excellent host: Professional, clean, hospitable, and very knowledgable on the agriculture and history of the Ancient Spring Farm Site. The site itself was also stunning-the perfect place for a solo retreat! The animals, the plants, the fresh farm-to-table breakfasts, the grounds...what a memorable experience! I would certainly recommend this place to others. If you have any interest in learning about growing food or agriculture, you would love Ancient Spring Farm's Tobacco Room.

We had such a lovely and memorable stay at Ancient Spring Farm! We really enjoyed the forage tour, learning about edible and non-edible plants was fascinating! And the animal tour with all the bay goats was a great bonus! Rebecca is such a lovely human, warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable! We had breakfast under the pecan trees with fresh eggs and vegetables from her farm, and even brought some eggs home with us! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, immersive farm experience. We felt truly welcomed and connected to the land.

We had a wonderful time tent camping here! This site is incredibly peaceful and private. We also took part in the native plant tour and found the information both fascinating and really really interesting! I highly recommend this Hipcamp spot.

This was my second time coming to this wonderful spot. Rebecca does everything right. Last time I came solo and this time I came with my partner and his very anxious little dog. It was the dogs first time camping and they did great. They both loved it as much as I do. Can't wait to come back again.

Had a lovely quick overnight trip. Host was very friendly and super responsive. Greeted us upon arrival too. Site is nice and well maintained. Location is pretty too. Got the campfire package which is a huge bargain with plenty of wood for a nice fire. We car camped under the barn and was nice and dry after a quick morning shower passed over. Fairly quiet and peaceful. Looking forward to a return trip.

Not only was the campsite itself great, but Rebecca really made us feel so welcome at the ancient spring farm! The host is an extremely hospitable soul. After checking in, she led us through an informative and enjoyable mead workshop where she let us sample various brews and make our own! I enjoyed hearing about the different animals, plants, and history Rebecca cares so strongly and infectiously about.

Rebecca was amazing. Her knowledge of the area and things to do were very helpful and her farm was beautiful. My daughter was constantly bothering her with questions about her horse and animals but she was very patient. If the weather wouldn’t have been so hot we would have wanted to stay longer. But her farm is definitely amazing and she was a very gracious host

My boys and I loved it! I took my 9 yr old and 5 yr old out for an overnighter. New to Hipcamp. I saw Rebecca's place early in my research and knew right away I would love to camp there. We had a wonderful time. Her homestead is so beautiful and she was a really good host. My boys loved the animals, especially her cat. We learned a lot about some of the responsibilities of running a farm. Rebecca is a hard worker and it shows on how well the farm is maintained. The boys couldn't wait to tell Mommy all about it. We will be staying there again!! Thanks Rebecca!

Rebecca is a wonderful host, and her lodging is absolutely serene. Waking up to the beauty and ambiance of the Ancient Springs Farm cannot be matched. Do not skip the excellent home cooked breakfast, featuring eggs and other fresh ingredients from the farm. The chickens and other farm friends will keep you company during. 10/10 would recommend

This is such a perfect place to stay. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. The land is beautiful and Rebecca is very sweet and accommodating. If you are going to say here in the summer make sure to bring tick spray, because we found a couple on us. Everything else was fantastic!

Rebecca has a special place here and has done a ton of work to cultivate it in a conscious way. I'm so glad she is sharing it with the rest of us. Truly awesome spot with woods, wildlife, fabulous farm friends and more. Beautiful spot not too far out of town. The Tractor shed already has rings set up at the perfect height to hang a hammock. The fire pit is dug into the ground properly also was super surprised but excited that the firewood provided (extra) was of various sizes, with kindling, and a lighter AND a bucket of water were provided! I was scrambling last min to find my lighter/firestarters so this was wonderful and reflected the vibe I was already getting from Rebecca about how much she cared about the people she shares her experience and the little things she does everywhere to cultivate a truly magical environment. 10/10 recommend for anyone who needs a getaway not far from the city who enjoys farm/country camping. If you have time, definitely do the farm tour and take some eggs home. Can't wait to get back out again.
