Fly fish in the river on PR Ranch!!
We LOVED our time at PR ranch. It was exactly what we were looking for- secluded, beautiful, and accessible. We hiked a bit, played in the river (young sons), fished, and just enjoyed being outside together. We drove through some of the Rio Grande National forest and that was awesome, we even got to see Bighorn sheep. Glenn is a lovely man and took us around the property in his mule (4- wheeler). We highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay here. Quiet, private camping right on the water. Plenty of shade. Level spots for tents and seating. Thanks for Glen, Kate, Caitlin and Joe for their hospitality.

This is a cool spot right on the river. It's pretty far out there, 15 miles down a gravel road, and at least 30 mins from the nearest town. It's a nice little canyon, with some rock formations, the river, and a flat campsite protected by a fence. Valerie the host was very nice and got me all setup with clear directions. The campsite is right next to the road but only 2 vehicles came down it in the 2 days I was there. If you want some peace and quiet and privacy this is a great spot to check out.

Fly fish and canp in a beautiful ar
Beautiful property and the campsites are secluded on great stretches of the river. If you like peace and quiet and beautiful dark skies away from everything you should try this place. Great caretakers as well (thanks for a great time Glenn) They have cabins bnb for rent as well.

Fly fish in the river on PR Ranch!!
Fabulous campsite with great river access! Area was close to national forest for hiking or there were trails on the ranch available. Camp was nice and private but Glenn was available for any questions. We loved having plenty of free firewood for our nightly campfire! We enjoyed fishing and the shooting range on the ranch! Our family had a lovely, peaceful camping trip and will be returning!

Amazing experience! I can’t say enough good things about Predator Ranch and the owner Glenn. He’s amazing and so hospitable! We camped at site 1, it was beautiful and right by the river. We hiked all over the ranch, my dog played with his dogs, we had drinks on the porch with Glenn. It was a blast!! We’ll definitely be back! Valerie who manages HipCamp for Glenn was a gem as well! Very attentive and great communicator! Predator Ranch is an incredibly experience! Thank you Glenn and Valerie!!

Beautiful Camp Site. Absolutely gorgeous mornings. Within walking distance of the ranch. Glenn is a great host and very hospitable. Beautiful red rock formations that are an easy hike from the site. 3miles up the road is is the Rio Grande National forest and Terrace reservoir . Which provides beautiful views, hiking, and four wheeling.
As you drive out to the site you’ll start to wonder if it’s going to be worth the trip but the ranch is down in a canyon and kind of comes out of no where. It really does look like an Oasis in a midwestern desert.
The Ranch is also a 45 minute drive to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Which is very much worth a trip.

Was just what I was looking for. A private spot on the beautiful Alamosa River. Quiet and open but with a fantastic host in the ranch house nearby. Pitched my tent with my dog, built a fire and relaxed. Did some driving and hiking around to the Alamosa Reservoir and even did some rifle target practice with the host-who has a firing range on the property. Brought my fishing gear and threw a few casts in the river also. Worth the trip and cost to fish private water. Ideal for your dog if he/she likes to romp and play with other dogs. The host has two Lab mixes and my Lab had the time of her life in he woods and water. I'll definitely be back again.
