You should never have to choose between convenience and open space when it comes to Sequoia National Park camping! Dorst Creek campground is the perfect choice for large groups, or those traveling with RVs and trailers. Arrived late afternoon on a Friday in mid-August. Even with the forest fire relocated reservations we were able to find a nice, private walk-up site without reservations (first come, first serve). Highly recommend site #120, privacy and perfect distance to the flush toilets :)
Space 97 in the no generator section was more private than some of the other spots and had a nice, level spot for my 6 man done tent. Only slight prob was picnic bench was in sun all day. Heed the bear signs! One came thru my site about 6 pm.
