The vibe at Lake Cabin in San Gabriels
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This cabin was great! We got a ride down the mountain because it was too muddy to drive our car, and the cabin was so precious. It's right next to a lake, and the view was incredible. It was a super snowy night but we were plenty warm with the cabin's floor heating.
The hosts were cool as heck! Christian brought us coffee in the morning, and he let us meet all the goats. I'm definitely coming back.
The Lake Cabin is absolutely beautiful! My wife and I celebrate our one year weeding anniversary here and we loved it. Our host Gloria was really friendly and super helpful, she gave us a quick tour of her ranch and introduced us to her lovely animals before letting us explore the property for our selfs. The cabin itself was really clean and the heated floors kept the cabin nice and warm. I can't recommend this place enough, will definitely be coming back.
This place was phenomenal!! One of the hardest things about living in L.A. is finding a place where you can truly get away from people, like aaalll people, not a bunch of other weekend warrior hikers like yourself. This place is a much needed sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of LA. I'm tempted to say it really sucked so no one else will book out the weekends we want to go back!
Went with my wife for one night, had a great time, 100% recommended! We arrived Friday around 3pm, helped Gloria with some chores (milking the goats), paddled around the lagoon (very relaxing!) and then spend the rest of the day reading at the porch. Great getaway very close to LA!
My friend and I whisked ourselves away to the cabin for a night. We were hiking around the area all day and planning to do the same the following. It was exactly what we needed, simple, and quaint. The cabin comes with just the right amount of amenities to be comfortable. We relaxed on the porch and cooked a little dinner. My dog was very happy being able to roam freely around the cabin. We got to meet the barn animals, and Hank the donkey followed us back to the cabin, he's such a gentleman. The only thing we noticed that was a downside was the amount of flies around during the day because of the heat, but that has nothing to do with the place itself, that's just mother nature! Will definitely be coming back here again in the future!
