Come relax in the deep quiet and stillness of a 1 acre fir tree forest, and then stroll through 4 acres of meadows and fruit trees as the sun sets. If you are feeling adventurous, explore the thick 16-acre cedar, fir, maple and alder forest beyond the meadow, or spread out into the hundreds of open acres that surround Grey Owl Hollow. Black-tailed Columbian deer are regular visitors, and we play host to moutain beavers, 'possum, and even the occasional black-bear as well!
We are firm believers in the value of time in the woods as a balm for physical, psychological, and emotional distress.
We are within easy driving distance of a number of state and national parks, and are about 45 minutes from the front gate of the Olympic National Park - one of the most beautiful and famous in the country.

The vibe at Grey Owl Hollow

These hosts have gone above and beyond in preparing this site for campers. Not only is it a peaceful sanctuary to stay at for the night, its large and inviting enough for larger groups of friends to join in as well. The layout of the camping sites are perfect, and resemble a higher quality State/National Park campground, with more amenities and cleaner surroundings. I couldn't recommend this campsite enough, it was truly refreshing.
We were the first official Hipcampers at Grey Owl Hollow. We experienced a very relaxing and quiet stay. Camp host, Seth was great with communication and keeps his special campground in wonderful shape. We enjoyed bike riding on the Willipa Hills Trail near by.
What a hidden gem! Seth’s campsites were everything described and more! The bathrooms were very clean and convienient there are multiple picnic tables and even a sink nearby to wash dishes. The two kids in our party loved the swings. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves this weekend, and enjoyed the peace and quiet while walking the labyrinth. Hope to return next summer!
Seth’s camp was awesome. This was our first hipcamp experience and I’m glad we got to have it there. Very clean, the bathroom is great. We were the only ones there that night so it was very quiet and private for us. We didn’t meet Seth the night but we arrived, but he had come down and lit the lamps for us. He came down to the camp the next morning to say hello. Seth is an awesome guy and we wish we had more time to chat with him. I would highly recommend staying here!
Interesting place. Would come again. Seth made the sites look professional and clean. It was loaded with amenities which other camping spots don't have, like a shower and sink. The little details add up to your comfort and cozy experience. I love the swing!
The campsite was very well maintained. Trash & recycling available on site. The bathroom & sink were in great condition. We enjoyed taking walks in his field. We loved the laterns at night. The location was remote enough it was very quite at night but about 15 minutes from town where you can catch a good meal if you do not want to cook. Mima falls trail is about 30 minutes away for a day hike. Would recommend to anyone who is staying in the area!
