Kookaburra Ridge Farm Camp

Had a great weekend at Kookaburra Ridge. Daniel was fast replying and flexible with our sites when our cars had trouble in the rain, the drop toilets at site 1 and shared are all well maintained and instructions & signage couldn’t be clearer. Look forward to hanging out with the sheep again soon

Beautful view, site 3 was close to the toilets (but not too close) and easy to set our 3 tents up on. Daniel provided a perfect amount of firewood for us. Had a great two nights stay. Definitely would come back!

Camping with kids & dogs

We had a gorgeous few days tent camping on site one, i booked last minute and daniel was very prompt in replying to all messages. We stayed with kids and dogs, being so secluded was great for our dogs, it felt like we were the only ones there. The composting toilet and water tank was such a luxury, i would recommend packing drinking water but the tank was fantastic for hand washing. It rained for our stay but the site had good drainage so it was no problem. we hope to come back for another visit soon!

First time staying here absolutely loved it beautiful view during the day an open clear skies at night. So many stars we saw heaps of satellites moving and shooting stars. Heaps of space for the kids to run around Even a couple swings for the kids to play on

We had an amazing time at Kookaburra Ridge Farm Camp! We are lucky to have the whole place to all ourselves and really enjoyed the privacy. The campsite is well maintained and in great condition, toilet is great too. Would visit again and recommend.

Beautiful, peaceful & dog-friendly

Beautiful spot. So peaceful. There were 10 of us and a dog. We had three family tents and a swag set up on the sites. We took the firewood option and that was a big help not having to bring our own or go scavenging for it. The only issue that we had was that the composting toilet wasn't completely empty when we arrived and filled up the day before we left. I tried to contact the owner and even called at the property to ask for it to be emptied but never got a reply. Other than that, thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful location, so quiet and peaceful. The view was stunning, the fireplace was a blessing and the compost toilets were clean and had a nice view 😊 We would definitely recommend. Easy to find and nice flat sites. Good distance between campsites so it felt like you had the whole place to yourself with the sound of the birds. Relaxed and Restored. Thank You!!!! 😊😊😚

Not for soft floor campers

The property and view was lovely, however unfortunately the sites are not suitable for soft floor camper trailers, so were were unable to stay. The host was kind enough to arrange a refund and will update the listing description to prevent this issue happening to future groups, however unfortunately we were not able to recieve a refund on the hipcamp fee which and were not able to stsy after driving 2 hours, which was disapointing.

Great views, especially of sunrise. Composting toilet is in good condition, great to have water as well. Property well maintained. Would definitely recommend. Tarra bulga and beaches within 30 minutes.

Absolutely incredible hosts and campsite. Stunning location, lovely family who own the land, in a very private bush setting. Sites were spacious and remote feeling. Close to Tarra Bulga National Park and Woodside Beach. Had an amazing New Years Eve down there with friends. Couldn’t recommend the place enough, go ahead and book!!

Daniel sent a message a few days ahead of the trip which proved to be really helpful for some of the other campers joining us. The site itself was well kept and easily fit our two tents and two swags. The firepit area was well maintained, there was plenty of space to setup and the firewood purchased/provided was great for burning.

Campsite 3 was a fantastic spot—conveniently located near the toilet facilities and offering stunning views. It was the perfect place to unwind and truly disconnect, especially with no mobile reception. From the site, we could see cows grazing peacefully, all while enjoying the fresh country air. The firewood bundle provided was generous and lasted us two nights, which was a pleasant surprise. The only minor drawback was the proximity to the road—about 200 to 300 meters away—so we could frequently hear vehicles passing by. Overall, we were very happy with the campsite and would definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

Peaceful and Beautiful Spot for Camping Lovers! ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ We recently camped at Kookaburra Ridge Farm Camp Site One – Privacy, and it was a truly wonderful experience! If you’re someone who enjoys peace, quiet, and being surrounded by nature, this spot is absolutely perfect. The scenery was stunning, and the sense of privacy made it feel like a hidden gem. Our group had a great time and really enjoyed every bit of our stay. However, there were a few things that could be improved. The toilet facility was nearly full when we arrived, which was a bit of a challenge for our group of six staying for two nights and three days. We were also told that there would be portable, drinkable water available, but we found only a small amount of rainwater that wasn’t suitable for drinking — so definitely recommend bringing your own supply. Another minor issue was that we had to clean up lamb droppings around the campsite before setting up, but once that was done, everything else went smoothly. Despite these small setbacks, the overall atmosphere and natural beauty of the campsite made up for it. We would love to come back again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape into nature!

Great place to camp at. Nice views. Bit of a slope on some parts. A couple of rope swings for the kids to play on. Not too far from Melbourne. Went to the Tarra-Bulga national park which is beautiful and not too far away for a short hike.

Myself, my partner and our two friends stayed at Dan and Rina’s Kookaburra Ridge Farm over the Easter weekend and had an amazing time! The campsites are extremely spacious and included a fire pit, which we spent a lot of time around. Campsites and toilets were very clean. Dan was very approachable and friendly and recommended us to some great fishing and hiking spots that weren’t too far from camp! Very peaceful and relaxing weekend 😊😊 Thanks again! We have already recommended Kookaburra Ridge Farm to many people!

Decent sized space, plenty of green grass. Access to toilets was great. On a little bit of a hill but we managed fine with 5 tents and a gazebo. Daniel was responsive and came to see how we were all travelling!! Would definitely recommend for small or big groups.
