PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BOOKING, (we are NOT IN Moab), Most of your questions can be answered this way and you will know what to expect. Be sure to read all the rules upon booking. ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 5PM to keep your reservation. No refunds due to weather. ABOUT OUR CAMPGROUND and LOCATION: The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park visitors center is only 1.5 miles away. We are 1.5 HOURS from ARCHES and approximately 2 HOURS from ISLAND IN THE SKY. You do not need 4wd to get to our place. There is a bathhouse with warm showers and flush toilets. WHAT TO EXPECT: There are several hiking trails in the area as well as bicycling & 4 wheel drive trails on BLM (public land). This IS the Wild, Rustic, Dirty Desert, not for Everyone. This is Camping and keep in mind this is a rugged camping experience not for the faint at heart. The desert is Hot in the summer and cold in the winter, the weather is Unpredictable and you May experience our Wild storms...Monsoon season runs from July-August which is amazing if you are into photography. Be sure to bring proper gear for the rain (if we get any). You may hear coyotes, see spiders, experience the annoying desert gnats at certain times of the day during the hotter summer season. You will want to bring bug spray, but if you forgot we do sell it in our camp store. If you stay with us you will get the experience of desert camping, wild, raw and rugged. It is an amazing experience to be had, with beautiful views and the feeling of freedom that is hard to find in more civilized and populated locations. The rocks nearby are kid friendly, great for climbing and taking amazing photos of our fantastic views and gorgeous sunsets.

SITE SPECIFIC: You may have seen this on Pinterest & other places & always wanted to try it out, this is your opportunity to do so without making the expensive purchase yourself. The tentsile is a very cool experience to be had!! It is spacious & allows for 2 adults possibly 3 comfortably if small enough. It will give you a unique, exciting experience & a more comfortable nights sleep up off the hard ground. The site is set up to be cozy, romantic & very private with led solar string lighting & a lit pathway. PREPARE FOR THE WEATHER: Please do your own research for the expected temperatures here and bring proper gear. This tent gets cold at night in the spring and fall. Bring extra blankets or sleeping bags, if you get here and it's cooler than expected please ask and we would be happy to loan you blankets. BATHHOUSE : There is a Bathhouse with Showers and Flush Toilets. Showers are with a Token and must be purchased during store hours. The bathhouse is about a 5 minute walk away & is shared with other campers and gets dirty. We are surrounded by red dirt. Toilets get clogged, it happens in any public bathroom. It is cleaned everyday. The bathhouse is under renovation.

What a wonderful night in the desert! The Needles Outpost Campground was an excellent place to stay, located just outside the Needles District park entrance. It was so easy to get there, check in and get ourselves set up. The location provides a great setting and area to explore for sunset watching, stargazing and more. Some firewood is complimentary with your stay and each site has a nice fire pit. The store is a great place to pick up last-minute essentials or snacks in an otherwise far-from-anything location. Staff were friendly and helpful! Would definitely come back again!

It's easy to find the Tentsile in the dark -- solar lights illuminate your way, and a string of cute little twinkly solar lights add the perfect cozy touch to your treehouse home for the night.

View from above the Tentsile, on our way up to watch the sunset. That little green thing will be your home for the night!Venture beyond the campsite to find an excellent place to watch the sunset over the desert.

It was awesome! This experience was glamping for me. There was WiFi in the outpost, a shower, and a freakin tent in the trees! There was wood available and Amber was there to answer any questions you had. The view of the Canyonlands was AWESOME.

Staying at Needles Outpost was great! Amber did an awesome job communicating with me during the process. The site is beautiful and clean and quite accommodating. I understand they’re the new managers with a checklist of upgrades to come. I can’t tell you how awesome it is to have showers after a hot dirty day in the desert. I’ll definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Incredible spot. One of the best I got to experience. Would only not write a review so less people know about this spot.
