Retro Star Ranch is safe and secluded. We have 25 acres of land at the end of a private road in a secret hidden valley not far from SLC, Ogden and Eden Utah. This land is pristine and connected to over 5000 acres of undeveloped open space. The property is part of a recreation property subdivision. You might see some fellow campers on quads, occasionally you might hear gunfire, but you're more likely to see deer, fox, grouse, birds of prey, moose and possibly elk. Not far from Causey Reservoir and the South Fork of the Ogden River both of which have great water for floating and fishing. We have a metal fire ring on site and a 30 ft geo dome which is great for hanging hammocks in. We don't have a lot of trees so bring your hats and shades. Mornings and late afternoons are beautiful. One of the few places where in the area where you can really hear the silence.
Getting Here: You could easily get here in a sedan with creative and slow driving when dry but not recommended for sports or low clearance vehicles. If you have 4x4 that is better, especially if you want to venture to our last campsite or pull a trailer here. There are some tight turns and We've pulled a 30' foot trailer but the road is skinny in places and the turns are tight, bumpy from cobbles and ruts and often have puddles. There is about 2 miles of that climbs over a ridge. If you're adventurous and a confident driver on dirt roads you will have no problem. If it's you're first time pulling a trailer or if you have a low clearance then this is probably not be the spot for you.

Can’t wait to go back!
Bryan was an awesome host. If you are ever in the SLC area you need to head over to Eden and stay at his camp! It’s right smack dab in the middle of a surreal valley. It’s so quiet and he plans to add yoga plat forms out there! Plan an escape out here and you won’t regret it!
Causey Reservoir is only a short drive away from camp and it’s absolutely gorgeous. Lots of trails for you to hike and explore! Super easy to work Into part of your trip to Bryan’s camp
Bryan also runs the music up at the local ski resort so make sure to ask him about any shows happening that week,
Bring fire wood as there isn’t much loose wood!
You need to contact Bryan about directions. He makes it super easy to find the camp!
Bryan’s site was just as incredible as the pictures showed and everything we could have asked for — clean, remote and beautiful spot to spend the night. Bryan even provided firewood for us. Thanks for a great stay!
Fantastic views - friendly host!
The views are amazing. The site is in the middle of a fantastic valley with plenty of off-road trails for side by sides or ATVz. It was very secluded and provided a great getaway from civilization. No cell reception, just nature, mountains, and amazing view of the night sky.
Heads up: it’s easy to get lost on the way up, and the roads can be a bit rough if you are not experienced or not paying close attention. We ran into Bryan (who is a great communicator) and he pointed us in the right direction. Thanks Bryan!
Overall, great site. Super nice host. We had an amazing time! We will def be back with friends and family in the future!
Great spot overlooking valley
This place is GREAT! Our site was on a grassy knoll overlooking the valley. Plenty of places to explore by foot or mountain bike. Only an hour drive from Salt Lake City, and far enough from other sites to feel private. Will definitely book again.
Great secluded spot to unwind
Great spot - super fun 2 day trip for us. The property is secluded and it feels like you are the only ones around. Super close to Causey reservoir as well which was fun.
Relaxing, rejuvenating, calming
My boyfriend and I had the opportunity to camp at The Dome at Retro Star Ranch. We had such an incredible time being somewhere that we could truly disconnect from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The view on this property is priceless and Bryan was incredible at giving detailed instructions on how to arrive at the site. Our personal favorite was hiking back on the property and letting our dogs enjoy the small Spring streams that were flowing in May.
Beautiful, remote, and a bit rugged
This is an amazing location - so beautiful and off the beaten path. There are a few homes that you can see from a distance, but the site itself is very private. The road to get there was dirt, mud, and windy - and we had just picked up a new trailer (18'), but we made it just fine.
Bryan went out of his way to help us get the trailer leveled and set up, and then helped us get it ready to get on the road again, as well. He was as welcoming, friendly, and warm as anyone could possibly be.
