Lake Cisco is a full out 100% adventure! The property has a rich history combined with a beautiful landscape. We had a wonderful time exploring and watching the stars from the Dam. We would definitely go again! My suggestion is to check out the history to get a full appreciation for the properties interesting past.

Johnnie’s hipcamp is the most unique site I have ever experienced. The rich history and nostalgia of this location makes it impossible to ignore. The abandoned zoo, cabins, highway, swimming “pool”, and gorgeous dam attract anyone passing through the area. I got here at sunset and began exploring in the dark with my headlamp. Sounds of ancient bears roared through the old zoo, and children’s amused laughter filled the stagnant air around me. I hiked through the woods until I found a large rock to call my own. With sleeping bag in hand I burrowed beneath a moonlit sky as shooting stars whirled around me and dreams of warm summer months cluttered my mind. A truly unique experience.

Thank you for the wonderful review Caleb. I appreciate it.
We had a great time at this property. It's next to a lake and has plenty of tent sites in the tree covered hills and caves. The land was a zoo in the early 1900's, so remnants still exist, which makes it fascinating and adventurous! Highly recommend this location and the owner was very helpful, accessible and friendly.

Thank you Jason...so glad you enjoyed it and saw how amazing it is. I was lucky to see the pool when it was operating and full of people having fun.
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Cisco Lake Lodge to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. We absolutely loved this place! Lake front property with tons to look at! We stayed for two nights and it wasn't enough to soak up all the glory of this hidden gem. We plan on returning in about a month and we can't wait! If you like adventures this place is something you definitely want to check out!

Thank you so much for coming out and for the great review Ryan... I really appreciate it.
Awesome spot near the water reservoir

Thank you Dash... it has bothered me that Amanda gave the place a zero percent rating. I tried to explain that it was not a great place for young children.
What an amazing place! So much to do and see. Our kids loved the old caves and trails. The spot by the water was amazing and the sunset from the old bridge was beautiful. Had a lot of fun learning all the history about lake cisco and the owner went above and beyond to communicate with us about any questions we had. We will for sure be back.

Meri Beth and Clayton... thank you so much for coming out... it really makes me hqppy when people see the beauty and spirit of the place. I saw it when it was all going except the zoo and it was so amazing.
We had an amazing time staying and camping here! There were so many cool places to explore and the views of Lake Cisco were great. It’s nice and private, loaded with history, and we would recommend it to anyone!

Thank you Aislinn for the nice review. Glad that you and Hunter had a good time. We have another site called Camping Near Hamilton Pool if you or firends ever want to come out from Austin. Johnnie
We had a great time at Lake Cisco Lodge and Campground. It was very quiet and clean, with a lot of cool old buildings. We brought our large rv and a few friends with us and really enjoyed exploring the property. Johnnie was very helpful with information on the area. The star watching was also a highlight! Very dark skies out there. I hope to visit again, as no one in our party wanted to leave.

Thanks for the great review Keven.... happy you enjoyed yourself.
Area was really nice and secluded! A lot to explore, a lot to see and do. Some of the more harder to reach places had the best sights, so there’s reward if you push down the path less taken.

Thank you Daniel... glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the review.
