The vibe at Big Star Views at the Bass Tank
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had a great time with our daughters. The owners were so kind and attentive. Cattle walked right up while we were fishing and we were able to pet them and caught several bass in the tank.
Big stars farm did not disappoint!
Our stay was Great! The host met us at the gate and showed us to the campsite! The stock tank was fun to fish and the horses and cows came right up to camp and was a fun experience for the kids. I would highly recommend a stay at this site!
The directions were spot on, the host met me when I arrived and we're kind enough to even gather firewood for me prior to my arrival. My dogs and I hiked through the pasture and saw cows and horses (from a distance, didn't want to get too close with my dogs). Had a really lovely time!
Excellent-it will be a return trip
This is an excellent, classic Hipcamp site. The best sites are the single pitch ones, and they don’t come better than this. A friendly welcome, and then left alone to enjoy the peace and the big skies.
Cleanest porta potty ever !
My brother and I camped here one night during our Westward roadtrip and we were very happy with the friendly hosts and beautiful campsite. The campsite is next to the Bass tank and has the most gorgeous view of the stars. The hosts kept in contact with us on our way there and met us at the gate to guide us in. They even had firewood gathered for us. The portapotty on site was clean and modern and the campsite was very well maintained. I highly recommend this site for primitive camping!!!
Wonderful stars and friendly hosts!
Fantastic campsite and friendly hosts! They were very understanding of our arriving later at night due to car troubles. They greeted us at the gate and had the campsite ready with water and firewood. The portapotty on site was very clean and well kept. The campsite was wonderful. We set up on the bank of the bass tank and loved laying under the stars at night. Absolutely gorgeous stars at night. Highly recommend this campsite!
Our stay on Samantha’s property exceeded all of our expectations! We arrived JUST before sunset after an almost 12 hour drive and Samantha met us at the gate despite the late hour to show us to The Bass Tank. She was so kind and welcoming and gave us a quick rundown of the area. The sunset was gorgeous, the stars were amazing, and the nice grassy spot we set up the tent afforded us the best night sleep we’ve had so far on this trip. Absolutely 5 stars! Thank you Samantha!
Great place to stay.
Samantha did a great job making us feel welcome. She even provided a solar shower with warm water. View was very nice. Saw Milky Way. Caught (and released) a bass in the tank. Easy access for passenger car. Made s’mores. Our four year old was thrilled.
