One of the best camp sites I've ever stayed at! There was a cooler with water waiting for us on the picnic table as well as plenty of firewood. There's great views of the surrounding area! We woke up to an amazing sunrise, and then headed out to one of my favorite towns, Jim Thorpe. It's about a 20 minute drive!

Brewing some coffee at our campsite! Our parking spot! There's also a garbage bin as well as one for recycling here! Climbing around the stones next to the site!Morning stretches

Mark was very helpful. He left 2 coolers for me and my friends and was very accommodating. The location was beautiful and perfect for me and my friends. I highly recommend this location if you'd like a beautiful, peaceful, isolated camping experience.

Great place to camp. Very secluded and Mark was able to answer all of my questions for me before I arrived. He also had 10 gallons of water and a bunch of firewood for us. And it may sound like a strange thing to comment on- but not one person got a single bug bite in 24 hours! Plus lots of hiking and a lot of rock climbing. I will absolutely be going back again.

This was a great spot for a family camping trip. It's not very far from town(maybe 10-15 minute drive), but there's no one else anywhere nearby. The property is large enough that you never run into anyone or bother anyone with noise. Incredible for watching stars and low-level hiking. The ground does have a lot of rocks and pokey growth, so you'll want to use a tent footprint if you have one. The picnic table has a canopy set up above, which was great for setting up a lamp. There were also a lot of helpful things in a container on the site- small shovels, wipes, double doodie bags, portable toilet, 2 collapsible chairs, a few lighters, and fire starters. There were also 2 1/2 wooden chairs around the sizable fire pit. Overall it was a pretty well-equipped site. I'm not sure how much will always be there, but it was a pleasant surprise. We didn't explore hiking outside of the property but did trek around the land a bit. We would definitely come back!

Great place for some R&R. I came here with my wife and dog after having some not so successful camping trips on public sites. This place was isolated enough but still close to many sites and activities. The host Mark was gracious enough to provide a stand up shelter as there was rain in the forecast. The ride in to the property was a bit bumpy but our Beetle made it through ok. We are definitely coming back here.

The experience at this place is my best camping experience in the US. The description is not as good as the place actually is. There is a creek and a tent over the table + Beltzville State Park nearby, though the property is so large that you can explore it for several days. The place is super private and Mark willingly responded to our additional requests ASAP.

If you want to have an A+ camping experience, I would highly recommend booking this place.

This campsite is fantastic. You are truly secluded in a great location. Mark was so helpful in providing directions to the location of the site. He also had a ton of firewood for us and even set up a pop up tent over the picnic table since rain was in the forecast. The walk from the parking spot takes about 5 minutes and isn't too strenuous. The views from the site are really beautiful. We had 5 people with 4 tents and had plenty of room to set up. We had a great time, despite lots of rain, and would definitely come back. Thanks for all your help Mark!!

Mark's property was beautiful and the campsite was perfect. We especially appreciated the amenities provided by Mark such as water, chairs, firewood, and the picnic area. The property is easy to find and close to town, but once you're at the campsite, it's very private, quiet, and makes you feel like you're a million miles away. On top of this, Mark was very responsive when I had questions before checking in, and while we didn't need to get a hold of him during our stay, he provided all necessary information in case we needed to reach him. We will definitely be coming back!

I contact Mark about hosting an axe throwing tournament on his site and he was responsive and excited about the idea from the start! He was a great host and gave us everything we could have possibly needed and more. He allowed us to use the generator and the golf cart which is very much needed if you plan on spending a couple days there. The hike up to the main site can be rough if its hot out but there are plenty of spots in the creek that you can walk off and relax in. Several people we were camping with just found spots off the path up to the main site and set up there while most people just set up in the large field located below the path up to the main camp. The land is amazing and with just minor changes I think it could be a perfect private camping location. If some of the flat areas along the path up to the main camp were cleared it would allow people to set up in shaded areas and also not have to walk all the way up the mountain to get to their tent. There were several suitable areas that we used but with some minor work they could actually look like individual camp zones and would give large groups more of a sense of privacy when they go back to their tents. Overall the location was everything we needed.. Mark even let us hook up a hose to his house so we could cool down since the weather was so hot. If you have a large group and want a unique camping experience this is the place to go! Also Palmerton Pizza down the street was surprisingly delicious and they delivered strait to our main basecamp!!

Response from Mark, the Host, on July 11th, 2018

Glad that your event worked out well and thanks for the suggestions on ways to expand the site. For those reading this review, please understand that Sean's even required vehicle access and parking for campers in what is essentially our yard, not the described camp site. This group arranged to rent the extras mentioned and we made special considerations well in advance of their arrival. This is not the norm for camping groups here. What seems to attract most our campers is the ability to get away from it all. The seclusion and remoteness of our camp site, plus the privacy it offers is the main attraction. Sean's group was the first to utilize our "meadow" and we are happy it worked out for them.
