Our visit to the Hobbit house met and exceeded every expectation we had.
Getting to the property was easy! You enter right off HWY 101 and drive all the way up until you start to see pinwheels on the right hand side. Once on the property, there are horses and a chicken coop. Signs are very clear and will point you in the right direction.
Nathan greeted us right away and gave us our first bundle of firewood and even told us how to get to a little creek on the property.
Solid wood deck in front and on the side of the house, perfect to pitch your canopy and all your makeshift kitchen. Off to the side is a fire pit and even sticks for your s’mores! Then around back is a hose with fresh water.
When you walk into the house, you instantly feel welcomed. There’s a small wood table and chairs on the right, a bench on the left. Heather and Nathan left us water and even some chocolate (yes!). The queen size bed is straight ahead and so comfortable with a sun roof above looking up at the trees. To our surprise, there were heating pads on the bed and plenty of blankets.
A second walk uphill, you have your own private bathroom and an outdoor shower. The water is hot...and I mean hot!
All in all, my husband and I loved our stay at the Hobbit house. Heather and Nathan were very attentive to our needs and were very nice. If you love camping, but hate sleeping in a tent and not have a hot shower, then stay at the Hobbit house!

The hobbit house was everything I expected and more. It was cute and cozy with all the adorable little details from the water fountain to the solar lights. We really enjoyed our stay and the outdoor showers were awesome! Heather was an amazing host and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be returning here soon!

We had such a lovely time at Heather's place! BEAUTIFUL property with lots of little hiking trails, leading to absolutely magical creeks and views. The Hobbit House itself is super cute- I loved being able to look up through the skylight over the bed and up into the tree canopy.
The hosts were lovely- kind and helpful- and recommended a little hole-in-the-wall place for a breakfast burrito that was so good!
Very, very happy with our experience. I hope we can come back some day :)
I would 100% recommend to stay at this ranch! Owners very responsive, and extremely hospitable. I was Lucky enough to stay in the Hobbit House and it was adorable! I enjoyed Sitting out back in the evening all by myself sipping on a beverage. It was so relaxing listening to nature. The showers were amazing and the hobbit house had a very clean and cute bathroom near the showers just for me!
We had a wonderful stay at the Hobbit House. The camp was easy to find and we were greeted promptly by the very friendly camp host. We were given fantastic suggestions of places to see and restaurants around Bandon to try. My husband and I spent an entire day hiking around Shore Acres. The views are stunning!!! Make sure you have $5 CASH for the park permit. There is no credit card option and no change given as there is no person in the booth. Back at camp we enjoyed a nice fire on the private patio complete with comfy chairs and small table. The private bathroom is a short walk from the house is delightful complete with flushing toilet, sink, and electricity. The showers were great, too. The water is hot and felt great after a long day of hiking. There is a lot of creative touches in the Hobbit House. Our favorite part was the skylight above the bed giving you a beautiful view of the trees and sky. The lock on the door is a nice touch as well. The site was so quiet and exceeded our expectations!! We would also recommend the short walk down to the creek on the property. It is very secluded, beautiful and peaceful. We highly recommend the Hobbit House for a unique and fun experience.

The Hobbit House was amazing!! As cute as it looks in the pics, clean and quiet. Hosts were super friendly and gave us great suggestions for what to do in the area. We walked Circles in the Sand at Face Rock beach, saw tons of sea anemones and sea stars there, then had an amazing lunch at Tony's Crab Shack in Bandon. Evenings on the property were lovely, with a fun game area and a nice hike down to the creek. The next day we went to Cape Arago on the recommendation of the hosts and saw (and heard) tons of sea lions and spotted a pair of whales! Altogether a magical trip. Thank you, Heather!
This was my second stay at the property this summer, but my first time staying in the hobbit house- and wow, I fell in love with the location even more!
The hobbit house is perfectly quaint and cozy. A few of my favorite features included the sunroof above the bed (I imagine it would be incredible during the rainy season!), the access to outlets, and the adorable indoor tree stump table.
Wishing I was back there now, and can’t wait to return again some day!
The Hobbit House was amazing! The hosts' attention to detail and their love for the site really came through. The hosts were very welcoming and the Hobbit House itself was very clean and perfect for two. The Lotus Trail on their property is also a beautiful short hike to an idyllic creekside. Really felt like a different world out there and couldn't recommend the spot more highly.
