The Tiny house was designed and built by architect, Jesse Plaster. It's a unique cozy loft style design, set back in the woods on our property. It's purposely placed next to a creek, with a nice stone fire ring to really enjoy the outdoors. Also next to the house are fire roads that allow you to hike the Ripshin Mountains. If you have more than 3 people in your party, your more than welcome to pitch additional tents.  the cost is $10 per tent each night. Children are welcome to camp, but we do not allow them to sleep upstairs in the loft.  It's an open loft, so it's too risky for them to fall from the 2nd level. The Yadkin River is near by, and so is Boone and Blowing Rock. If you like mountain biking, bring your bike to ride Kerr Scott, or Zacks Fork trails. Lastly, check out the workshops at Pattersonschoolfoundation.org They offer sustainable living classes such as cheese making, mushroom foraging, blacksmithing, soap making, kimchi making, etc... It's a short drive from the house, otherwise you can walk there through the woods. Come enjoy our Happy Valley!

My stay at the tiny house was amazing. The house itself was so beautifully designed and everything I needed. The property is dreamy, and the set up of the home was perfect. Angela was so responsive and even went out of her way to get me some information about local fishing spots that turned out to be super helpful. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to come back.

Kat, so sorry for the late response. We are new to Hip camp, so still trying to figure it out! So happy you enjoyed your stay, and I hope you caught a fish or two! We plan on building a dam near the house and stocking trout. It would be an easy catch for dinner next time!

The tiny cabin was wonderful! We enjoyed our weekend in the woods. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and conveniently located (Lenoir, Boone, Blowing Rock). We had a cozy fire using the wood stove inside. The fire pit outside added some entertainment at night. Angela was communicative and kind. I always prefer to be completely isolated, so being able to see another home from the cabin wasn’t ideal, but it certainly wasn’t a dealbreaker and wouldn’t keep us from visiting again. The bed was comfortable, the full fridge made it easy to bring in a normal amount of groceries (a lot of tiny homes have miniature refrigerators, and we definitely appreciated the full sized fridge), we were able to prepare meals with what was provided in the kitchen, and the bathroom/shower was spacious. The cabin is situated on a beautiful piece of land, is well-crafted, and was perfect for our weekend away.

Molly, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay! We are almost finished building an outdoor sauna near the creek, so if you like to detox come back!

Staying with Angela and Jesse was probably one of the best things my family and I have done in a long time. The two of them were so welcoming, considerate, and friendly, we feel like we've made friends for life. Our stay in the tiny house was incredible and the accommodations were top of the line. We were greeted upon arrival by Angela and the pups with open arms! We were given a tour of the land which included the pond, waterfall, frog pond, a creek walk, the garden, and a trip to visit the animals.

The tiny house, which was designed and built by Jesse is located behind the big house (also designed and built by Jesse). The directions to the tiny house were perfect. Prior to our arrival, Angela contacted us to make sure we had everything we needed. She also provided us with a list of for purchase, locally sourced protein that she could leave in the tiny-house for our arrival. We took her up on the offer and asked for eggs, breakfast sausage, and pork chops which were outstanding! We cooked everything in the organized kitchen of the tiny house and the meal turned out fantastic!

During our stay in the cabin, we deeply enjoyed the wood burning fire place (wood was provided and cut)! There were several games and books to discover. We read, colored, and played a heated game of Risk with the perfect ambiance of the trees saying in the wind outside. The trails that run along side the waterfall and pond were nice to enjoy for an early morning walk or in the summer mountain biking. The bigger pond, was great for fishing, kayaking, and bird watching. Interacting with the donkey and cow were highlights of our days on the property and they are the friendliest couple of animals! During our stay we visited Boone, NC and there were plenty of shops, breweries, and restaurants to try. We recommend driving up to Boone simply to experience the amazing scenic drive.

Angela and Jessie’s place is the perfect get away and though we didn’t visit with children, this would be a great place to bring the whole family. The shower and beds are great and the fire pit out front is the perfect touch for an evening talking with friends or family. If you’re considering this location for solitude, this is also a perfect location to read, draw, meditate, or simply sleep. Angela and Jesse are working on adding additional touches to the property for relaxation, one of which includes a very well designed sauna. We’ll definitely be taking a trip back when it’s done for another amazing weekend!

The bathroom is tucked right beneath the steps going up to the second floor.Cute towels! The full bath in the tiny house comes with great shampoo, conditioner, and soap. So much beautiful sunlight comes in and fills the house!

Well, we had the pleasure of meeting the three Adventurers, but no Chaco! Save that for next time. We've had a couple guests over the years, at this and other rentals, who just lit up our lives. This crew was all that. We had them stay another night in our house, because the tiny house was booked, so we could prolong the Adventure. We talked deeply, we played Wingspan, we shared a few good meals, and we learned a lot. Get to know these folks, your world will be a bigger, better place. Looking forward to their next visit!

The tiny house was even better in person than the beautiful pictures in the listing. The house is so thoughtfully laid out and comfortable, with everything you need and more. Sitting by the fire and listening to the sounds of the creek was so relaxing and peaceful. The tiny house is convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock and tons of great hiking trails, if you decide to leave the site. Angela and Jesse were such welcoming hosts - we were glad to meet them and to get a chance to enjoy their lovely surroundings! We will definitely be back to enjoy a longer stay soon

Such a great great away. The tiny house is wonderful. Has everything you need. But what makes it even better is what’s around you. From the donkey and cow to the hosts, Angela and Jesse and their sweet dogs. There is so much to do in the area. We will continue to go back not just for the stay in the most enjoyable tiny house but because of Angela and Jesse. They are such wonderful people to allow people to come and enjoy this great experience.

Jesse and Angela were wonderful hosts. Directions to the site were exact-an absolutely beautiful property. Staying at the quaint tiny cabin was a fun adventure. Our lab, Amos, enjoyed playing with Weezey and Sonny. He also enjoyed our hikes around the property. The beautiful waterfall was a great surprise! We spent the evenings playing connect four and sitting around the fire pit. Overall, a perfect getaway. We will definitely be back!
