Owls may keep you company. Deer may graze on blackberries. Look for hawks, woodpeckers, foxes, and groundhogs. During summer twilight enjoy sitting by the fire watching fireflies. In late summer let crickets and katydids serenade you to sleep.

Stroll to a 24 hour farm stand for fresh eggs, dairy, veggies, and meat. Proximity to the rail trail, so bring your bikes. Walk to the Wallkill river for fishing (following regulations). A short drive from locations to deploy your Kayak into the river or creeks.

Great if you're a climber, very close to the Gunks! Minutes from bars and restaurants in New Paltz.  Jumping-off point for Minnewaska State Park, Awosting Falls, Mohonk Mountain House, the quiet hamlets of Ulster County, the Catskill Mountains, Hyde Park, Poughkeepsie, Kingston, and the Mid-Hudson Valley.

This historic farming property was established in 1768 by a captain in the Ulster County militia, and his family, just before the Revolutionary war. Come, enjoy a quiet energy amongst these charming ruins.NOTE:

The site was only a short walk from the house, but it felt like a secluded campsite in the middle of the woods. The campsite has plenty of space (we had two 2-person tents) and the fire pit is really lovely. There is also a table and chairs and a bench. The toilet was clean and well kept. Jasen was a friendly host and easy to contact. Would recommend, particularly if a climber, as it’s very close to the Gunks!

This site was absolutely beautiful. Jasen provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. He even set the fire up for us before we came; it was super sweet! Jasen’s place is an amazing little sanctuary in the woods and although it’s about 200ft from the house, it still feels extremely private. Would definitely recommend!

Jasen was incredibly hospitable during my stay. I came to hike and car camp near the Catskills in late February. When I arrived at the location, I was able to call Jasen and he walked me through everything with ease. Because there was no one staying at the ranch house they were renovating, he offered to let me use the restroom and firepit there. It was incredibly convenient for me, and I would love to come back in the warmer months again!

Jasen's camp site was exactly as described! My partner and two brothers headed up together for an easy-going sibling camping trip - we grew up in Saugerties and are quite familiar with the New Paltz area so it was such a perfect location. 7 minute drive into town and only about 15-20 minutes to the Mohonk preserves / Gunks. The site was more secluded than we even would have expected knowing it was just a quick walk from Jasen's home and it had everything you could possibly need. He even trailed a hose with a shower attachment that we used for brushing teeth, etc. Jasen clearly loves and respects the outdoors as much as we do. Everything about the site was well thought out and in perfect condition making the whole trip very relaxing. You won't regret your stay - it felt like a little oasis. :)

Jasen (the host) was so nice! New Paltz is a wonderful town and there are plenty of nice trails to check out nearby (we went to Minnewaska State Park - would definitely recommend a swim in Awosting Lake) :)

This is a great place for starter campers and family fun! The site was way bigger than we expected. Very private and organized. There was a picnic table, a decently sized firepit, and a toilet. We were even provided with fresh water which was very comfortable for showering. Whats even better is Main Street is only 15 minutes away at most. Jasen was an excellent host and made sure everything was clean and set before we arrived. Would absolutely visit again!

We had such a great weekend! Even though you're on Jasen's property, we really felt secluded in our own private campsite oasis. Jasen is very nice and helpful and he's done a great job setting up the campsite. We had two first-time campers in our groups, so it was also great to go somewhere that had easy car access and also fresh water. I would definitely highly recommend!
