Hi, we're Paul and Angela - thanks for your interest in camping here at Arándano Farm! We're originally city folks who decided to change our lives and move out to the country. We hope that by sharing our farm, we can give you a glimpse into a lifestyle that is more healthy and sustainable for us and the planet. Our goal is to offer something different than the traditional camping experience. In short, that includes more space and privacy along with the ability to visit our animals, take a farm tour, and purchase our home-grown organic products. We hope you'll enjoy it!
* Off-season notes! The shower has been drained and disconnected to prevent freeze damage. Self-service firewood is not available. *
Hidden Pond Campsite is a secluded, family-size campsite that sits on a quiet, 6 acre corner of our farm and features a small pond (not suitable for swimming), babbling brook, and amenities such as a picnic table, and a private outhouse with a composting toilet and a luxurious heated shower. You'll feel the temperature drop 10 degrees on the short (less than 1 minute) walk from the parking area into this spacious and open, yet cool and shaded area. While there are no guarantees, we've spotted fish, turtles, great blue herons, ducks, kingfishers, muskrats and even otters in the pond, and a deer sighting in the woods is a definite possibility. For guaranteed animal sightings that your kids will love, book a tour to see our chickens, geese, ducks, sheep and pigs. This site has plenty of room for 6-8 people in two large tents or several smaller tents, and plenty of trees to hang your hammocks from. This is a site you'll want to spend some time enjoying!
COVID-safe camping. Each of our campsites is surrounded by acres of woods or fields with no other campers nearby. Not only that, but there are no shared facilities - you will be the only ones using your water supply, outhouse and shower (if included with your site). Please let us know if you prefer to have an "online" check-in, instead of the standard meet and greet where social distancing and/or masks can be used based on your preference.
- Check in: After 2PM
- Check out: Before 12PM
- Cancellation policy: Moderate
- On arrival: Meet and greet

Perfect camping experience!
This was our first time camping and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The property is so clean and beautiful and Paul was friendly and very respectful of our privacy. He only came ‘up’ (meaning just a little hill that gives you just the right amount of privacy) to bring us more water and take any trash and only after he heard an ‘hello come in over’ from us. The shower was clean and hot and we loved having the private bathroom all to ourselves. We couldn’t have asked for a better place or host for our first time out in the ‘woods’.
This was the perfect little campsite! It was very quiet and peaceful but was also minutes away from restaurants, grocery stores, and a short drive from lots of different lakes and hiking. Paul and his wife are lovely and super helpful and it was a perfect camping stay!
Perfect site and wonderful hosts!
Paul and Angela were wonderful hosts. The site itself is perfect - secluded on a corner of their lovely farm, nested in shady woods between a brook and a pond. A nice level site good for 2-3 tents are around a fire pit and picnic table, and next to the tidy toilet / hot shower. Car is steps away from the site to make packing in/out easy, but out of sight so you can feel secluded. Their location is close to some really great hikes on Mt. Major and beyond. Recommend the farm tour as well so you can see all the thoughtfulness Paul and Angela are putting into their farm!
Paul was an excellent host! When we arrived, he showed us to our site and made it feel like home! The site was very private with a great view of the pond and was shaded by trees (which kept us nice and cool waking up to 80 degree morning). The bathroom/shower was very clean and he provided us with nice cool water & A pile fire wood on arrival. We hiked the Belknap Gunstock loop trail and had a magical stay. We will definitely be back in the future :) Highly recommend!
It was happenstance that we came across this campsite and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The host was amazing, down to earth and immediately made us feel welcomed. The site itself was clean, beautiful, peaceful and felt very private. We had an amazing view of the stars at night and enjoyed listening to the owls. Also, the toilet shower setup was really neat. It was so nice to be able to escape the bustling lake towns and have a quiet outdoor space to ourselves. Would definitely stay here again.
Imagine your friend is like,”Hey, I know this cool camping spot down this dirt road. There’s a pond, a brook and a heated outdoor shower.” Would you take them up on the offer? Paul’s hidden pond site is one of the most serene camping spots I’ve been too.
"hidden pond" was a great find!
"Hidden Pond" was a great find! Paul was a great host and the site was everything we expected it to be (and more.) Perfect for 6 of us in 3 tents, with a good sized picnic table for eating. The composting outhouse/solar shower combo can't be beat. We will be back!
