We loved this place so much we stayed an extra night. A beautiful, quiet spot on the bank of the While Chimney River, Belle Bluff Island campground is high on our return-someday list. Whether it’s fishing from the dock or listening to Richard, aka “The Mayor,” tell stories, this is a place to go if you’re looking to kick back and relax. Owner Ron McIntosh is a real gentleman - he graciously let us upgrade to an unoccupied larger site with a full view of the river and marsh. Two big thumbs up!

Great campground tucked away with a quiet, charming feel. Close proximity to nearby islands such as Sapelo, Blackbeard and many others for exploring. The campground is accompanied by a Marina making trips like these super streamline especially in the event you need to dock a boat or fuel up on gas. The bathrooms and showers were clean!!!
Side note - the owner was down to earth, super friendly, and very interesting to talk to! One of those rare, wise storytellers with a wealth of knowledge, you just want to sit and listen!! Super relatable, very cool guy! Also have to mention the Mayor, "Mayor Richard" that is, who welcomed us and got us quickly situated. Really cool man, extremely helpful, and fun! We'll be back!

Level sites and beautiful views of river. Restroom/bathroom were not clean. A toilet brush laid on floor and full garbage can sat in a shower stall the entire 2 days I was there. Other than lack of cleanliness, it's a nice campground.

We loved this campground! We met the Mayor upon arrival and he was so nice! My daughter and I were there alone and knowing he was watching over the place made us feel so comfortable. It is truly a hidden gem!

The view! Wow. The property if beautiful. The mayor was very attentive to any needs we had. He even referred us to a few places for dinner. We had a great visit and will surely come back.

We had a nice stay, it was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. However we were lucky that we didn't have many neighbors. The spaces are packed in tight. However that didn't affect us. The showers are clean, and hot water. Beautiful views

Very nice, clean campground. A lot to explore if you walk around the campground. The sites are really close together, but there were not many campers when I went due to weather. I met the “mayor”, he was kind enough to pass on some cooking and pans he no longer needed. I would stay again.

The sites were on top of each other. That said, I am glad I booked in the "off season."
Off season in mind, it was quiet and peaceful but know that Site #11 is literally next to the bathroom building which is not indicated in the listing in any way.

Beautiful Marina views, clean bathrooms with hot showers. Site was just big enough for a 4 person tent (2 people plus gear) and my Chevy Trax. Host responsive and available onsite. One of the best stays of our trip.

What a great camping spot! Amazing sunrise!
Very beautiful. There was also a little marina on site.
Nice shady spot right on the water.
The bath house was nice and clean, kept up well. We met both the governor(owner Ron ) and the mayor (caretaker and host Richard).
Friendly great guys!

The site was clean and tidy as advertised. There was a bath/shower building located in very close proximity to all of the sites. Ronald is a very responsive and helpful host.
I would say that if like us, you prefer to not be so close to other campers, this camp may not be the type to choose. Although we did not have a "bad" experience, we found the sites to be way too close to others to have a sense of some privacy and tranquility that we prefer when camping.

Really awesome little camping spot. Restroom facility was plenty adequate and extremely nice to have while camping light in a pickup truck. The dock is awesome and was a blast watching what looked like baby puffer fish swimming around as well as blue crabs while I fished. Affordable, unique, basic, friendly and low key.
Caught a little Toadfish on a fly tipped with cooked steak and a decent bait sized Croaker on fiddler crabs I caught. The fiddler crabs were climbing around the fish cleaning stations. Was here for a half day at night in lieu of a rest stop.
