Rebecca's campsite offers a convenient and clean desert experience with stunning views and plenty of privacy. Most campers appreciated the clear directions and the spotless outhouse, contributing to a comfortable stay. While the majority found it charming and well-kept, some did mention issues with splinters on the picnic table and rocky ground. However, the site's proximity to Joshua Tree and great stargazing opportunities make it a popular choice.

Great value camping site!

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
Great value camping site! Honestly, can't beat the price.
Given the descriptions clearly forewarns the campers of these things, yet personally, somethings were left to be desired still.
Splinters:
The wooden table at the site had splinters sticking out everywhere. Multiple people from my party ended up getting poked by it, we had to start being cautious while engaging with it. Personally, I had to remove 3 out of my fingers.
Ground:
Rocks were everywhere; I think it would be nice to have up to 3 rock-cleared areas for tents.
Spiders:
We were instructed to spray insecticide to remove spiders from the stall. While I certainly found a few spiders in it, there was a sun spider hanging out on the wall as well. Had to kick 'em out of the outhouse.

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
Rebecca’s land was incredible. The views were unreal, the site felt private, and there was plenty of space. We pulled in with a 30ft RV and had zero issues getting in and out. Rebecca also approved a second vehicle so we could explore without moving the RV, and she sent super detailed, thorough directions and info ahead of time. The outhouse was spotless. We brought cleaning supplies just in case and didn’t need them. Couldn’t recommend this Hipcamp more. 10/10. Thank you, Rebecca.

Had a great time at Stars and Valley. I think I might have even had a clear view of a SpaceX launch streaking across the sky last night. Very surreal. Fantastic desert experience.

Solitude near Joshua Tree!

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
My dogs and I loved staying here in our camper van! Something to know is that this spot is very open, so be prepared if it’s windy! Rebecca is a very communicative host, and the site is well kept. The outhouse is clean and such a nice touch. My dogs and I loved roaming the property for sunsets and the stargazing is top notch. If you like solitude this is a great site, we will be back!
Rebecca was a great host. I arrived at 1:30am and it was hard to find the location but Rebecca gave me multiple pictures of the campsite so I was able to find it. I will definitely camp here again. The stars are amazing at night.
Rebecca's camp site was great. The site was conveniently located. The views were incredible and the site was very clean.

Convenient and quiet

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
We spent three nights at Rebecca’s with our two kids and a small RV. It was very easy to get to and convenient to 29 Palms, both the town and the park entrance. There’s some road noise but very quiet otherwise. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was nice to have a well maintained outhouse and a dumpster available. Thanks so much Rebecca!

Everything went very well during my stay at this lovely, clean campsite near Joshua Tree National Park. Easy to find, with excellent directions from the helpful host. Adorable outhouse, too! There are neighbours nearby, so this is not a site to party into the wee hours at; it is more of a calm place to chill and enjoy the desert vistas and starry night sky. I would definitely return and stay here during my next trip to the Joshua Tree area!

We enjoyed our stay on Rebecca's land. Her directions were clear and she is good communicator. The outhouse was is good shape, same with the picnic table and fire pit. We recommend this spot.
Good place to camp that's far enough from the hustle/bustle but close enough to amenities. Clean, convenient site; thank you for having us!

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
Very clean and private. We were the only campers there, but even if the other site had been occupied we would've had plenty of privacy. The distance between the two sites (table to table) is about 25 yards. The toilet was clean and well stocked.
The directions were very clear and easy to follow, but we made sure we got there before dark just to be sure. There are small garden lights that come on after dark, but otherwise it's pretty dark after sunset. The "Hipcampers" sign posted in the yard was very helpful in finding the right location so we didn't end up on the neighbor's property.
It's a short drive to Utah Trail (a little less than 4 miles), which leads to the north entrance to JT. It's also very close to town if you need to go there for supplies or a meal.
As stated in the property description, there's no water or power at the site, so be sure to supply your own.
Except for some occasional yipping coyotes, this was a very quiet spot. Every once in a while we could faintly hear a truck on the highway off in the distance, but that depended on wind direction and was never bothersome.
In all, a nice clean and private site close to JT. We'd stay there again!

Nice location. Convenient to 29 palms and JTNP entry. Though there are residences in the area the campsites feel remote and private. Firepit , picnic table and outhouse are all very new and well maintained.
We've enjoyed our stay at Stars and Valley. Rebecca was very friendly and communicated frequently to ensure we had everything. The campground is a nice flat area with views of the mountain ranges. We even did astro one night. It's a great base to explore Joshua Tree, the North entrance is about 10mins away. We had no issues with parking our rig and setting up. Great place to camp near 29 Palms and Joshua Tree!

An absolute stargazing paradise! Easy to access, just off the main road yet wonderfully secluded. The amenities were perfect for a comfortable stay – a picnic table, a fire pit, and a compost outhouse. Everything was impeccably clean, adding to the overall enjoyment. The night sky is unbelievably clear without any light pollution, perfect for witnessing constellations, shooting stars and meteor showers. The host is very responsive, ensuring a fantastic stay. This spot is a must for nature lovers and stargazers alike. Can't wait to return!
