Park your vehicle under the stars looking over the Morongo Basin with the Joshua Tree National Park mountains at your back. Enjoy a campfire. Enjoy meals on the picnic table. Smell the fresh desert air. Wake to sunrise views and enjoy the changing colors with your morning brew. In the evening relax to the even more colorful sunset. Restroom available. Trash Dumpster available. RV/vehicle boondock only. No tent camping at this time. Only 5 minutes away from the Starbucks or the National Park entrance on Utah Trail, yet the sites lie on the more wild side of town and offers substantial seclusion. Two campsites available. Book both campsites for a discount and guarantee your seclusion.Park your vehicle under the stars (with a pit-toilet outhouse and trash disposal!) only 5 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park entrance and a Starbucks. Enjoy a campfire. Enjoy meals on the picnic table. Smell the fresh desert air. Wake to sunrise views and enjoy the changing colors with your morning brew. In the evening relax to colorful sunsets. RV/vehicle boondock recommended. Tent camping is a bit rough. (Often windy.) Fairly secluded location, but only 5 minutes away from the Starbucks or the National Park entrance on Utah Trail. Booked Guest gets choice of both campsites. (You won’t have a camping neighbor.) Dry Camping only. No power. No water. Back-in or pull around located behind a 1950s Cabin. Picnic table. Fire ring. Motion activated lights line the campsite entrance road on property. Large garbage dumpster available for trash. Pit toilet outhouse on site. (Outhouse is serviced every other month, so upon arrival see if there is enough toilet paper. You might need to buy more at a local store.) You will drive past a few of my neighbors down to a more open area away from neighbors, with an open view of the valley. Come relax on my desert property!

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
Weekend get-away
Good place to camp that's far enough from the hustle/bustle but close enough to amenities. Clean, convenient site; thank you for having us!

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
This place is great for car camping! Flat ground, fireplace pit, and outhouse. Rebecca’s directions were really helpful and the place was easy to find, even in the dark. Make sure to check out Wonder Valley Hot Springs down the road.

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
Ideal for a camper van
Very clean and private. We were the only campers there, but even if the other site had been occupied we would've had plenty of privacy. The distance between the two sites (table to table) is about 25 yards. The toilet was clean and well stocked. The directions were very clear and easy to follow, but we made sure we got there before dark just to be sure. There are small garden lights that come on after dark, but otherwise it's pretty dark after sunset. The "Hipcampers" sign posted in the yard was very helpful in finding the right location so we didn't end up on the neighbor's property. It's a short drive to Utah Trail (a little less than 4 miles), which leads to the north entrance to JT. It's also very close to town if you need to go there for supplies or a meal. As stated in the property description, there's no water or power at the site, so be sure to supply your own. Except for some occasional yipping coyotes, this was a very quiet spot. Every once in a while we could faintly hear a truck on the highway off in the distance, but that depended on wind direction and was never bothersome. In all, a nice clean and private site close to JT. We'd stay there again!

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
Rebecca’s Hipcamp did not disappoint! We had hoped to find a spot in JT with the busy holiday weekend but luckily we found this gem. Amazing sunset and stargazing views! The property was clean and inviting. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to come back!

Stars & Valley Boondock Joshua Tree
Nice location. Convenient to 29 palms and JTNP entry. Though there are residences in the area the campsites feel remote and private. Firepit , picnic table and outhouse are all very new and well maintained.

Joshua Tree Camping
We've enjoyed our stay at Stars and Valley. Rebecca was very friendly and communicated frequently to ensure we had everything. The campground is a nice flat area with views of the mountain ranges. We even did astro one night. It's a great base to explore Joshua Tree, the North entrance is about 10mins away. We had no issues with parking our rig and setting up. Great place to camp near 29 Palms and Joshua Tree!
