Description

Laid out on the canyon rim above Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, Box Canyon Campground is shaded by Douglas fir and lodgepole pine trees. Several short trails branch from the nearby Box Canyon Trail to access Henry’s Fork, which is renown for its gargantuan rainbow trout. Just be sure to follow the “catch and release” practices of the area. The Box Canyon stretch of river is also a favorite for rafters and canoers, but should not be attempted by inexperienced canoeists. For more relaxing recreation, try the three mile hike that follows the rim of the canyon. It’s pretty ace for all you shutterbugs out there.
