Camp below a towering grandmother pine tree.  Hear the wind as it blows through her branches.

Pitch your tent on a large 8-foot x 10-foot raised deck that is shaded by this giant white pine.

Don't have a tent?  Trying to squeeze three people into your two-person tent?  Just want some additional space?  We have a four-person tent for rent that fits perfectly on the tent deck!  (Stay two nights or more and we will even set it up and take it down for you!)

In addition to a solid tent deck complete with tie-offs to secure your shelter, your site includes a picnic table and your own private fire ring!  Plus, for your epicurean delight, cookout on a commercial-grade park grill!

Nearby, our open-concept outhouse (complete with a 15-foot clear roof) may end up being one of your favorite spots to hang out!

You will have a sense of seclusion, even though your tenting area is only a 4-minute and 37-second walk from your parking spot!  (Yes we timed it... but you should know we were walking from the tent deck to the parking area which is slightly downhill.  You might be slower going uphill and even slower carrying your gear, but we can take your gear up and back for you in our farm tractor!  Look for the option when you check out).

A NOTE ON FIREWOOD:  Our land was logged in the Fall of 2020.  There is wood for years and years and years all over the place.  You might want to bring a small handsaw or a battery-operated saw of some sort or another (You are welcome to bring a charger and plug it in inside our garage).

----------

When you register, we will email you our "welcome kit" (consisting of multiple emails) with directions to the rescue, local resources, local attractions you won't find on Google, nearby hikes, and more (including the WiFi password).

----------

See our other listings!  Click on the link to "Willoughby Farm Animal Rescue" located directly above the site title (Grandmother Pine Tent Deck) to see our other tent decks, group site, RV site, and glamping site!

----------

Have a group? Our group site accommodates up to 12 campers!

----------

Don't have a tent and don't want to rent one from us?  Then consider sleeping out in The Greenhouse!  You will feel completely connected with nature all around you when you sleep in our 8-foot x 14-foot greenhouse.

----------

Have a trailer or camper van? You can park at our RV site (with a 30-amp electric hook-up and WiFi).

----------

Skip those commercial campgrounds, where your tent is 3 feet from the other tents pitched next to you like sardines!  You won't have crowds walking by your site (or going by on bikes) checking out your set-up.

Though you might have a donkey or alpaca come by for a look.

Swim in our three ponds, relax around a campfire, gaze at the stars, take in a movie at a local drive-in, and more.

Money from your camping fees goes directly to supporting the non-profit farm animal rescue! Not only do you have a great time when you camp with us but you make a difference in the lives of abandoned and abused farm animals!

NOTE: All guests who will be visiting with us must be fully vaccinated.  Individuals are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after their final dose in a COVID-19 vaccine series.  Proof of vaccination is required. You may show either your original CDC vaccine card or a picture or photocopy of it.  Individuals who do not have proof of vaccine will be denied admission and will not receive a refund.

Scott's farm was amazing! We camped out at one of the tent decks, everything was awesome, highly recommend! There are some amazing views on the property and the animals are extremely friendly.

I camped the first night on the Grandmother Pine Tent Deck. It was a crisp but beautiful evening and I arrived near to dark, so I only really more fully encountered all the animals when I woke the next morning and walked around (and got to feed the llamas, donkeys, and pigs!). The next evening I heard it was going to be pouring, so Scott very graciously let me switch to the greenhouse -- which being 100% made of windows, is a gorgeous place to listen to and watch a rainstorm. I very much enjoyed my stay.

My wife and I had a great time. Scott is a great host. We eally liked the rescue animals. Scott offers some exrtas and we did Tia chi. We also did his class on growing Good King Henry. The sites are set in the woods and the tent platform, fire-ring and cook grill make the sites awsome. Best of times.

If you are looking for an authentically rural, and secluded camping experience, this is it right here. The site was far enough into the woods but close enough to where you can easily access the outhouse, the rest of the property or your vehicle. Although, if you are not physically in shape (like us 🤣) walking up and down to the site may be a bit of a challenge. But I assure you, you will get plenty of exercise. Word to the wise, you can get a little bit of WiFi from the outhouse 😏. The animals there were super friendly, especially the donkeys and the pig! The three swimming holes on the property are a great place to go on a hot day to cool off although we didn’t go in. Scott was also super friendly and personable! He brought our stuff up and back, gave us 7 gallons of water, farm fresh eggs (nothing better than that) and a French press! This experience was exactly what we were looking for and we booked last minute since our previous booking somewhere else was canceled. I do believe everything happens for a reason!! I highly recommend camping here and supporting their mission for the animals ❤️

Some very vocal sheep There’s two trees to the left of the tent deck that are perfect for these hammocks! PLENTY of firewood aroundPig friend ❤️

I had a great time relaxing at Willoughby Farm. I was welcomed on arrival and shown the campsite along with other parts of the property. The campsite was spacious and featured a brand new tent platform, fire ring, sturdy picnic table, and a park-style charcoal grill.
The property is huge - over 100 acres. Even though there were no campers at the other sites during my stay, the sites are so spread out that I wouldn't have seen them. Scott also welcomed me to go anywhere on the farm and set up camp anywhere I liked. Down at the house a short walk from the site is available water, electricity and wifi. It was nice to be disconnected back up at the site though.
Best of all are the farm rescue animals. When I came down towards the barn, I was greeted by two very friendly donkeys. There were also chickens, sheep and alpacas and a pot belly pig.
I recommend staying at Willoughby Farm for a relaxing getaway and as a base camp for activities in the Upper Valley.
