The host and his brother in law are super nice and answered our questions in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the area itself is not a true campsite. We had to rent a site next to us to have enough room to camp and these two spots are the biggest. It did rain our first day and two days before that so everything was super muddy but they did keep the main road smoothed down for easier traveling. Right behind our site was a scrapyard so our back view was blocked and there was junk between our site and the scrapyard including an old shack that was falling down. The trees were nice but only a few spots are in the trees and are super tiny. The rest of the spots are in an open field so these would be best if you had an RV. We were at Forest Ranch spots 1 & 2 were not far from the main road so we heard cars all night. Other sites are too close together so hardly any privacy. The area must be close to a gun range and venue because we heard gun shots throughout our time there, and Saturday night two different venues had concerts that could be heard from the camp at the same time. No peace and quiet at all. This would be an ok spot for a place to stay for one night if you need to stop for a night and travel on the next day, but not a whole week. The pictures on the website are misleading except for the picture of the open field with the electricity towers. No hiking or fishing either. We were definitely disappointed and will not be using this place again.

Just what the doctor ordered! I loved it. Even with other campers in sight it was so peaceful. The land was so beautiful and Eddie was the best. I will definitely be visiting again.

Such a cute spot! Perfect for pitching a tent and camping with friends! The gate to the property was also kept closed at night which was nice.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Both Ron and Eddie were super nice and helpful even going above and beyond. The sites are really nice. The trees were beautiful. I was very happy with the campsite and the price was very reasonable. Definitely would come back or recommend friends!

This place is the ideal camping spot. When you think of camping, this is the kind of peaceful environment you imagine. I'm pretty sure that we see a unicorn every few days come out of the woods but, I can't be 100% sure.

Easy to find location, close to grocery/stores, Rod & Eddie were kind & hospitable. The land is peaceful and it provided the perfect rest stop as I was passing through. Would happily return & stay longer next time I’m in the area.

This place is amazing for anybody looking to go camping. The facilitators are the coolest & best in the business, on top of the amazing place it is, you really can't beat it. I've been traveling America for 8 or so weeks now, & this is the coolest place I've been to.

My kids and I had an amazing time at this campsite. I am always treated with kindness and generosity by the campsite owner. This has been a reliable campsite where I can find peace right outside the city. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Trash laying around. There's stray dogs that steal food if you dont watch. There was rusty wire on my campsite.

In the description for this listing it says the campground is "a pastural oasis just a stones throw away fom urban convenience" and I found it to be just that. It's also a work in progress and I like what they're doing here. I'm a semi-retired van-lifer travelling wherever life takes me but DFW is my home base and it's great to find this place available for those times I need to be in town, this time being my granddaughter's upcoming Sweet 16 birthday. So if you need a relaxing break from the road, this is your place and Rod and Eddie will take care of you.

They were very accommodating as we came in after midnight for check in. Eddie was waiting at the gate for us and was super nice in letting us in and showing us the site. Great place to rest your head for the night or spend some time there.

Eddie and Rod were super friendly and accomodating. We boondocked for a week and the space was very quiet and peaceful. We had a great time and we'll be back again!

Was exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling. Although we only stayed for the night the location was really nice and in good condition. It was great having a fire pit in our site and being able to leave as early as we needed. The host was beyond attentive responding to our updates and making sure we had an easy experience even coming in late at night. Thank you again!!

We had the best time! Stayed all 4 days in Mansfield, it was such a beautiful site, and the wood Eddie brought out the first night lasted until the very end of the 4th day. Had such a great time! Definitely recommend.

Absolutely wonderful area, Rod greeted us at the gate when we arrived late due to a delay, Eddie came over and got us some firewood first thing the next day, which was so kind, and it was so peaceful with the fire watching the stars and birds. Had the best time, even decided to stay a little longer. Will be back!

The property owner Rod, his brother-in-law Eddy, and some of the others that I met (Melanie and John), were all very friendly and went out of their way to help me when my dogs got loose when I went into town to get more propane.
Rod doesn't bother you or make you feel pressured or watched. I spent my time on my big dog's last great adventure and got to enjoy the outing under the stars.
