Land of the llamas (and cats)
Me and my boyfriend came to Llamaland for a two night stay. We had an absolute blast camping, and the actual campsite (I believe we were at #5) left little to be desired. There were a few Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, as well as two picnic tables. Plenty of space to enjoy, and we found a nice patch of shade to set up our tent in. Judy was super accommodating and just so so nice! We got an introductory ride around the pasture and got to feed the llamas! It was hilarious to see a horde of them following you and picking up speed. We got visited by a few very friendly cats (one we named Rick), which was great since we were missing our own cats at home. We really had such a nice time and are looking forward to being able to plan our next trip back. Thank you Judy!!
Huge space, lots of picnic tables provided, sun and shade. No water hookups so pack everything in and out. The out houses are clean and did not smell. The staff and llamas are very friendly.
Amazing location. Wonderful experience camping in the pasture with the llamas. Stars are also beautiful at night. Judy is a fantastic host. We're planning to make this a regular destination.
Judy was amazing. She met us even though we came right before nightfall. What a wonderful host. We pulled our small fiberglass travel trailer with us and stayed in site 6. The llamas came out to meet us when the sun came up (all 40 of them) and then made their way east toward the sunrise. Our spot was perfect to catch the sunset and the sunrise. Really remarkable.
All llama say is, wut a great stay!
It was exactly what we needed! Only a short hour drive from Dallas that allowed disconnecting, to reconnect! Judy was incredibly hospitable and even helped us with a great site to enjoy with my sister and my son where can be with the llamas in the morning and evenings! This property is private so it allowed us to feel safe! Not to mention theamazing sunrises and perfect sunsets with a fire! Infact we booked our visit in the same spot, for next month as well! Excited about our next visit!
This place was amazing. She was very helpful. Moved us into a better more shaded spot when we got there. Always took the time to talk to us and give us pointers on the beat spots to go and see. Will be going back.
