The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, and extra blankets. Your essential cooking gear (plates, utensils, cups, cookware, french press, coffee and 1 burner camp stove). There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. We supply fire wood for you and you're welcome scavange the wood nearby. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit with wood. You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite. If you have forgotten any gear, please ask us. We have some supplies available for rent. No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed. Escape in nature and sleep soundly to the sounds of the creek!

Camping at Waterloo Falls
Amazing and easy spring camping!
A fantastic experience! We stayed on the tent site, and nothing beats camping within 50 feet of a giant waterfall - waking up to the bluffs covered with flowering trees and the lovely clear water rushing by. Alice was such an attentive host, and having our own picnic table and fire pit was great. PLUS, showers, electricity, a propane grill nearby up a short hill was a lifesaver when we got caught in some spring rain. Beautiful hikes nearby in Standing Stone State Park and just around the grounds. The campsite is right next to the private drive other guests use to enter the land, so cars of other guests do drive past you but it’s just a few times a day and no comparison to busy park campsites. Perfect for car campers with a dog who want a lovely, worry-free time!

Stunning Waterfalls! Dogs loved it
Beautiful place to camp! Our huskies loved being so close to the water and walking to both of the waterfalls. Alice was also very friendly and was a fantastic host. Will certainly share your spot, we’d love to come back someday!

Tent in the trees
We loved the Tent In The Trees! The host was super friendly and helpful and has built an amazing set up for ultra relaxation. From the super comfy bed and homey interior of the tent, all the essentials for campfire cooking available in your tent, to the deck overlooking the river, everything was planned with lots of attention to detail. My husband loved fly fishing in the river right outside our tent and the water fall was just a short walk and absolutely stunning! The perfect place to spend a weekend unwinding and enjoying the beauty of TN’s nature

Tent in the trees
Alice was so sweet and accommodating. The layout was thoughtful and welcoming. I was surprised at how efficient the space was used. It had everything we needed! Wish we could have stayed longer, it was hard to get out of that bed every morning. Can’t wait to go back :)

Tent in the trees
Incredible/Beautiful
Alice was extremely nice, the tent was very comfortable, and the creek/waterfalls were breath taking. I’ve recommended this to several members of my friends and family already. Better than the pictures, this place is absolutely incredible and comfortable.
