My wife and I loved our stay in Sheila and Bob's treehouse. They were warm and welcoming hosts, and their care is evident in the lovely little details (hand drawn map, complimentary maple syrup). The property is beautiful and makes a great base for exploring the region. Hope to stay again sometime!

Sheila and Luke were incredibly hospitable and helped make this truly unique experience all the more memorable and appreciable.

The Treehouse feels private and comfortable without being isolated and too rustic. Everything was as appeared in the photos, with tons of books, board games, and beautiful decor without being kitschy. The mattress was some kind of memory foam I think... slept like a rock! And the overhead string and star lights set the mood perfectly.

The bathroom facility down in the main building is as would be expected in any small home (shower, toilet, sink, etc). Hot water was immediate, towels were included as were a few toiletries. Bring your own toothbrush, of course!

The screened cookhouse was easy and lots of fun with the propane gas dual-burner cooktop. All cookware, plates, mugs and cups, and silverware is provided. The fridge held enough for a long weekend, and the farm-fresh eggs they offered were sublime.

We did not make use of the campfire site, since it rained for half the weekend we were there, but it looked cozy and well-stocked. Also, we were too exhausted from our hike. Maybe next time!

There's also a dedicated parking spot for Treehouse guests which was also appreciated.

Last but not least, the property is fairly substantial in size, offering plenty of short walks about.

And, don't forget to get some of their truly world-class maple syrup. You won't find stuff this good at your local farmer's market, I promise you! Great gift idea, too.

If you are looking for a unique experience - this is it! The Magical Treehouse is located in the northern Adirondack Mountains close to premier interconnected canoe (and kayak) waters. My husband and I recently spent a snowy weekend in the Magical Treehouse and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The treehouse itself was cozy and warm and our daytime excursions memorable. Our hosts were attentive and knowledgeable. The cookhouse, fire ring and private indoor heated restroom are just steps away. It offers the perfect balance of luxury and ruggedness. It was amazing! Every aspect of our treehouse stay was magical. We loved the treehouse itself with all of its charming features and attention to detail. The hosts were just wonderful, giving us privacy while also being available to chat and help as needed. They recommended some great ideas such as kayaking at Lake Meacham and Osgood River, Hiking the beautiful property following the signs and beautiful hand painted map. We also loved our own private cookhouse and fire pit. The whole property is lit with beautiful mason jars full of fairy lights and beautiful wicker encased string lights making for a magic feeling at night. We Also purchased several bottles of their delicious maple syrup for friends and family. Sheila also suggested that we stop at the Noon Mark Diner on our way home to pick up pies and they were Delish! We have recommended the Magical Treehouse to friends and family and we can’t wait to go back ourselves!!

The property is beautiful and the treehouse makes for a unique camping experience. It was not as private as we thought, though, as the treehouse is very close to the host's home/workshop space, and there were several other renters on the property as well. Also, be prepared for cold nights. We went in August and the temperature dropped to 40 degrees with no heat in the treehouse. There is a wood burning stove inside, but you can't use it.

If this tree house is open, I would HIGHLY recommend you book it NOW! It’s beyond magical, the hosts are amazing people and the tree house is built by them. You feel safe and comfy in there. One of the best places we have stayed. I can’t believe this exist. The property is amazing, very clean. The treehouse guest have their own private area with kitchen and bon fire. Homemade Maple Syrup that rivals any syrup I have ever had. Book it or loose it.

*note, the hosts are very clean, good vibes and follow good practice in COVID-19 safety procedures for everyone’s safety. It made me feel very secure to be in this magical property.

My wife and I can’t wait to come back again. 🌳🏡❤️

Sheila and Bob were very welcoming and thoughtful hosts. They provided firewood, recommendations for local activities as well as some much appreciated history of the area. While the treehouse wasn't as isolated as we expected, it was quiet and comfortable except the inevitability of indoor mosquitoes. The property is quite extensive and contains multiple walking trails and points of interest. The utensils available at the cookout area are limited, so make sure to bring your own. Dishwashing here is a real camping experience! p.s. this location has other camping options such as a private lean-to

Response from Sheila, the Host, on June 14th, 2020

Hi Emilis. We enjoyed having the two of you. Glad you were able to get away and have a well deserved relaxing weekend. Our only regret is that you didn’t see the big cookware bin in the cookhouse with everything from eating utensils, cooking spoons, ladel, spatula, to wine glasses, big cutting board, cooking pots, frying pans, French press, coffee mugs, tongs, vegetable steamer, plates, cups, bowls...we wish you had said something during one of our chats, like you did when you wanted a big knife to cut your watermelon with. As you experienced, we’re always ready to get guests what they need. We’d love to have you back, perhaps at the lean-to or next year at our log ‘tiny cabin‘ . Keep making a positive difference in the world, we need it!
