Overall, the tiny house was fantastic and we’d absolutely love to stay here again. A few things to note for future travelers: the link to the directions from the Hipcamp app took us to a random lat/longitude spot in NV that was about 4mi away from the actual ranch entrance, and manually typing the address didn’t get us to the right spot either. We ended up just googling “Sandy Valley Ranch” and found it just fine, so recommend saving that address in Google maps before you go. Also, the phone number provided in the listing was incorrect, but Sandi provided the correct phone number upon emailing her. We stayed in the winter and the pipes froze. That was not a problem for us, but you won’t be able to shower, so you may want to consider that. Sandi and Rob provided extra gallons of water for washing dishes and flushing the toilets, which was super helpful. Sandi was also generally responsive - thank you!
The open road and open skies led us to this beautiful property on a pleasant desert January afternoon. We arrived on the ranch and were warmly greeted by our hosts. They showed us around the property and made sure we had everything we needed. The tiny house was definitely stocked with everything we might need from shampoo & conditioner to oatmeal for the morning and a bit firewood outside already by the fire pit.
We got right to building our fire and getting it ready for our dinner of stuffed sweet potatoes. In the sunset-hued evening light, we had stunning views of Kingston Peak and the Nopah Range to the west of us. Quite the backdrop to cook your dinner to. We finished up our dinner prep inside and sat down at the two-seater table to dive in. The craftsmanship and woodwork inside are off the charts! I can definitely tell the care they put into building this unique tiny home.
After dinner, we bundled up in our down jackets and enjoyed the night sky full of stars. It gets quite chilly there in the evening/morning time, so be sure to bring your heavy coats in the cold months! The heater was definitely a lifesaver inside. It was even cold enough that the pipes froze, but they left water jugs in there in case that happened.
They have quite the range of accommodations here, including a wooden wagon and teepees. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of tiny houses or other unique structures!

Beautiful little tiny home with an epic view on the top deck!
Sandi and the Sandy Valley Ranch crew were so kind and welcoming. We stayed in the peacock tiny house. The tiny house was beautiful, homey and had everything we needed for our one night stay. We could even fit a play pen for our one year old daughter to sleep in! My family and I highly recommend staying here for a chill, cozy, mountain get away!

Wonderful experience. Beautiful views. Great host. Charming house—and so well conceived.
Sandy Valley Ranch was very peaceful and still. The stay was an incredible experience. Definitely a memory of a lifetime. Such a beautiful energy in the space. The house was charming and had everything you would need. Very clean. Clear communication with Sandi. The rooftop was beautiful for stargazing at night. Saw the brightest most beautiful shooting star. Will return very often. 🕊
Even better than the photos! It was an incredibly beautiful experience from start to finish. This is the best “glamping” in the Vegas area, hands down.
An amazing experience. We will be back for sure.
We had a wonderful stay this past weekend. The perfect getaway and break from the city. We would highly recommend this to all of our friends.
