Big Sky Bison Ranch is a family-run, grass-fed and grass-finished bison ranch, proudly managed with regenerative practices. Just 15 miles west of Great Falls, Montana, our 1,200-acre ranch is nestled in a wide, peaceful river valley with 2.4 miles of the beautiful Muddy Creek winding through it.
We humanely raise bison to produce one of America’s most delicious and nutritious proteins—grass-fed bison meat. Every part of the animal is honored and put to use. At our ranch store and online, you’ll find premium bison meat, skulls, hides, leather goods, logo merchandise, and unique gifts.
We’d love to welcome you for a visit—come tour the ranch, meet the herd, and take home some of our flavorful bison meat.
Looking for a quiet, safe, and peaceful place to spend the night? Our ranch offers stunning views of roaming bison, deer, and antelope in the hills and river bottoms. Bird lovers will delight in the abundance of native and migratory species—don’t be surprised to wake to the sounds of sandhill cranes, western meadowlarks, and wild ducks, geese, and pheasants greeting the sunrise. Visit our Ranch Store for branded merchandise.
We’ve poured our hearts into restoring this once worn-down homestead into a vibrant, regeneratively managed prairie oasis. Our bison roam the same land their ancestors—and the Native American hunters who followed them—did for thousands of years. Our mission is simple: improve the health of our land, rebuild soil quality, support a thriving pasture raised bison operation, protect the natural environment and wildlife and share our beautiful ranch with respectful visitors.
