This site is an easy walk to get to and feels very private. The setting by the pond is beautiful with a great fire pit and clean outhouse. We were able to find almost level spots to pitch our tents. The only drawback was the enormous amounts of poison ivy everywhere, but otherwise a perfect spot to feel secluded and still have access to firewood and potable water. Great first backpacking spot.

I loved camping at this site. However if there was a way to get your things in to sites a bit easier it would be awesome. Long hike with small children. Would be fine people with no children or older children.
This place is really great! We loved having access to a canoe while camping at the North Campsite. Lots of cool wildlife, felt super remote but an easy ~2 mile hike in. We’ll definitely be back in the winter.
Great Trip! Hike out is pretty easier, mostly on service road. Site is pretty spacious, plenty of wood, and the view of the pond is amazing!
Saw lots of birds and a beaver.
Beautiful views
I enjoyed a great 2-night visit to the site with my 11-year-old child. I liked that there were no other sites nearby. The views of the pond and the sounds of nature were wonderful. We hiked 2 miles from the parking lot to get to the site. The site is just beside the Little Dyer pond so water is close by…but we didn’t drink it until it was filtered. The outhouse was clean. The nature center has plenty of trails for day hiking.
