First thing’s first: Jana and Tim are the loveliest, most welcoming hosts. One of my favorite parts of this Hipcamp stay was sitting down with them and enjoying conversation over coffee in the morning before I left. They had great stories and helpful tips for exploring the area by bike, as well as a scenic detour (plus hot springs) as I headed toward my next destination. Beyond this, I had a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. I caught a beautiful sunset while riding along on the surrounding country roads, followed by a hot shower, and slept soundly under thousands of stars with the distant hum of cows. Had access to a super clean porto right at Camp. I chose a spot behind several rows of trees that Tim and Jana planted almost thirty years ago—the whole area felt private, yet expansive. Can’t recommend this camp, and these hosts enough!!

Jana and Tim were welcoming. They offered several options of where we could park and pointed out the best direction to see sunrise and sunset. My parents enjoyed having coffee and chatting with them in the morning.

We Loved the dispersed camping experience with the Last Resort. A step back in time camping on a family farm.. BIG SKY.about 3 miles off the interstate 80. All we could hear was crickets.. sunrise and sunset was awesome and Jana and Tim were the warmest of hosts. Tim has a lot of vision for what the property could be and is currently renovating grain bins into cabins.. they have a community fire pit and ensured we had everything we needed. Un expectantly Tim had to help us energize our slide out as out battery went dead.. no problem!

Jana and Tim are THE best! If you're a solo female traveler this is a wonderful place to stop. Its safe, its clean and Tim and Jana treated me like family. Even welcomed me into their home for coffee and breakfast this morning! There is a rustic shower which was perfectly private, comfy and clean but might get a tad cool in the colder seasons, the portable potties were immaculate and Jana and Tim are close enough to reach out to with questions but also feel like youve got privacy. I'll swing by again if I come back on 80 on my way home!!

We can't say enough good things about the Last Resort. Tim and Jana are super friendly and offer assistance well above and beyond what was expected - extra shelter, morning coffee, the cleanest porta-potties we've ever seen, breakfast, a/c power -they even offered to loan tools if we needed any. The chickens made excellent neighbors, and the sunset and sunrise were incredible. We feel like we've made some new friends, and would absolutely come back if we're in the area again.
The fresh-off-the-bush raspberries were the perfect ending to a great stay.

The Last Resort
What a great stay! Tim met me as soon as I pulled up and walked me to a great place to park my car. There was another group there at the fire so it was nice to sit and visit with them and Tim. I didn’t take them up on their offer of coffee since I wanted to get on the road. But 10/10 would recommend staying on these extremely kind couples land.

Jana and Tim were the best Hipcamp hosts we’ve met! They really went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed, from offering us a shelter to stay in during stormy weather to having coffee ready for us when we left in the morning. They even brought us gas when one of our motorcycles ran out on our way back to the property. They were so kind and welcoming.
The property was great. It is only a few minutes off the interstate but is still quiet and secluded. There are lots of options of where to set up camp and they have planted tons of trees on the property which helps to provide some shade. There are a few different outhouses that are kept clean and there are also communal fire pits and a grill available for use.
We hope to stay again!

The Last Resort
We enjoyed our stay at The Last Resort so much! It was a lovely property, even though the weather was not agreeable; cold, rainy, and windy. But we were snug in our campervan, and our hosts met us as we drove in to help us get settled. We were also genuinely touched by their hospitality, which included coffee and breakfast in the morning. They get a 10/10 review from us!

Jana was extremely accomodating when I booked in the middle of a cold snap and it would have been tough for me in my car. She allowed me to cancel within the 24 hr period and went above and beyond when she was making no money. I appreciated the kindness

The Last Resort
Due to unplanned events we arrived very late (4 AM). They were extraordinarily accommodating and gracious. The camping area was beautiful. Very peaceful. Also suggest you check out the converted granaries. They are cute. We hope to make it back for another visit. Put this location on your travel map.

If I had three hands I would give them three thumbs up. Hospitality was amazing and the open Wyoming farm land was beautiful. Our only regret is we left early in the morning and didn't get to tell them thanks and good by.👍👍👍

Jana and Tim are wonderful salt of the earth people who have transformed their property into a rustic camping haven. Really enjoyed my stay. The highlight was great conversation over coffee before hitting the road again. Depending on the season you might want bug spray handy.

The Last Resort
There are very few people in the world who are truly kind and giving. We met two of them at the last resort. Tim and Jana were just like old friends. They loaned us a fan to put in our rig when our generator kept tripping out. They provided water so we could fill our tank and they had a wonderful shower where we took hot showers in the morning. Even hot coffee. Such a pleasure to meet Tim and Jana and stay at their lovely property.

I think they should rename this the Friendliest Resort. I was welcomed by the hosts who took the time to get to know me for a few minutes and help me find a nice spot for my camper. The grounds are peaceful and pleasant, and I had a nice walk around the perimeter in the evening.
It was quiet at night and it seems that even the rooster sleeps in, I didn’t hear a peep before seven thirty. (I purposely chose the spot right next to the chickens but you could easily find a location further away).
Jana and her husband offered to help with anything I needed and offered coffee in the morning.
It was easy to get to and she provided excellent directions.

The Last Resort
Wonderful, wonderful stay at Jana and Tim's place. They couldn't have been nicer. We actually sleep in the granary which was lovely. The skies were super dark and full of stars. Pretty easy off I-80 but you feel like you are far, far away from the crowds. Thanks for hosting us!

What an absolute treasure of a treat and camp site! Very close to access from the interstate highway but you immediately feel worlds away. I was greeted by Jana and her husband and taken on a tour of their expansive and incredibly thoughtful set up for us travelers. Peace and quiet and big sky await! And the most pleasant and accommodating host(s). I can’t wait to return!

This was very nice! I had my pick of locations to camp on the land, and went with one next to a silo with some electricity. It was really windy, and it rained, but everything was fine! I enjoyed the chickens and the barn cats. They were such nice people, it was a good place to stay. Definitely follow the directions in the note from Jana; the directions on the Hipcamp app are wrong.

We booked late afternoon for that same night. That turned out to be an awesome evening! Jana is the most interesting and hospitable woman we've ever met. Her and her whole family are great. We highly recommend staying with her, discussing her story, and meeting the animals. A storm had passed through and we got to watch the sky constantly alit, in a way that only happens when the land is unobserved for miles. Super private location.

Jana and Tim are good people. When I left the next morning, I felt like I was leaving something important behind, and I think it was them.
I arrived right at sunset, Tim met me and showed me around, and we picked a spot for me to set up my car tent rig -- I'm normally in a class C RV, and Tim was completely understanding of my uncertainties and helped me come up with two or three contingencies, including an offer of an enclosed structure if all else failed. Jana came out later to say hi and to make sure everything was okay; good conversations in both cases.
Google maps worked perfectly for me for finding the place -- I used the address, didn't try the GPS coordinates.
If anyone else is crazy enough to try this in a little EV sedan, this worked well with no ground clearance issues, even with the six miles of county dirt roads -- at least at this time of the year, it was well-maintained; I even passed a road grader on the way out. Tim helped me pick a spot where there was 120V in reach just in case, but I didn't need to plug in; had left Cheyenne at 100%, only used 12% overnight, arrived in Sidney at 46%, plenty of leeway (Tesla model 3 in my case).
I had to get on my way early the next morning so didn't get a chance to explore the property; wished I could have. Overall a very good experience, and I feel like that's an understatement. I would definitely stay here again.

Jana and Tim were very hospitable kind and generous. Building a campfire for the grandsons to make smores was a huge hit. Made sure we had everything we needed and gave us a great view of the stars.

Jana and Tim are incredibly nice hosts and we had an absolutely great time staying on their land. We are traveling with two horses. They set us up with a corral which was above and beyond what we needed and greatly appreciated! If you need a place to stay anywhere in their vicinity, book a site with them!

Oh, what a delightful gem! Wonderful hosts and facilities and far exceeded our expectations! If you are looking for a quiet camping spot on your way through Wyoming, this is great! Easy distance from Cheyenne. Their Hipcamp is truly a quiet oasis in the middle of open country without interstate traffic noise. There are trees and trails! Over the decades, he has planted over a thousand trees! The hospitality at this place will be the Hipcamp benchmark for us. They were exactly what we hoped to find in Hipcamp hosts!
Note: Do NOT use your GPS to navigate to The Last Resort camping site! If you follow the host's clear directions it is easy to find! Their directions take you on a short distance (3 miles) on paved roads before turning onto gravel. Using the interstate exit identified by the host is imperative! We failed to do so but the host was kind enough to find us and escort us to their site.
