Family-friendly
Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
We purchased 40 acres several years ago and built our home on the west side. We wished we could better access and appreciate the amazing views on the east side so we built two off grid cabins and a campsite. We have been encouraged to share this very special location with others.

Lee Road Campsite

RV/tent site · Sleeps 12 · Vehicles under 35 ft
Bring your tent, camper, or RV. Our campsite is close to several state outdoor recreational attractions including Curt Gowdy State Park which offers seasonal kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals. The park has hiking trails, mountain bike trails, fishing and other water sports. It is roughly 7 miles from the campsite. Vedauwoo Recreation Area has exceptional rock-climbing opportunities and is 9 miles from the campsite. We welcome well-mannered dogs on leash who won't disturb the abundant wildlife or our neighbor's livestock. A seasonal, outdoor, propane-powered shower is available. Some tent campers have reported that although the highway is a mile away, they are affected by the road sounds. The highest point on the transcontinental railroad is located 2 miles away. The site is located on 40 acres. We routinely see moose, deer, and other wildlife as well as hawks, turkey vultures, and many other varieties of birds. The wildflowers are seasonal sensations!

South Crow Cabin

Cabin · Sleeps 2
We are very proud of this little cabin. It has received several awards in Hipcamp's national ranking! This small private cabin has a deck with a wonderful view of granitic rock formations and trees. We upgraded the windows and built a new toilet facility this Fall. It only sleeps 2 but the new double mattress is very comfortable. There is a propane fire pit on the deck which provides ambiance. A charcoal grill and picnic table are at the site. There is a vented propane heater in the cabin. A seasonal, outdoor, propane-powered shower is available. We welcome well-mannered, leashed dogs who won't disturb the abundant wildlife or our neighbor's livestock. Thousands of acres of public lands are just north of the cabin waiting for you to explore. The night sky is vast and inviting. Our cabin is close to several state outdoor recreational attractions including Curt Gowdy State Park which offers seasonal kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals. We close for the season from January 1-March 31 but occasionally open if weather permits during that time. Come see us when the snow stops flying or check out the Blue Moon.
