Barnyard Campground

Bathrooms and showers are very clean. Sites are good sized for what we need. There were only two sites being used so I can’t really say how tight it might feel if full but we go more for the experience. We love Ten Sleep Brewery and if you catch a night with some entertainment they are always good! We go out of our way to stay at The Barnyard when traveling to Montana from the Chicago suburbs.

We stayed in our camper and had so much fun. The Ten Sleep Brewery offers great beer and food and if you plan it right there is always good entertainment. The sites are clean, easy to find and have shade over the tables. Great place.

We stayed at the campground for two nights, and while we absolutely love Ten Sleep Brewing, we won't be camping here again. The brewery itself is fantastic—great beer, great atmosphere, and we'll definitely be back for that. Unfortunately, the campground was a completely different experience. The campsites are essentially an open field with no privacy and virtually no shade. We visited after rain, and the entire area was extremely muddy. It was so slick that our kids couldn't safely walk around without slipping, so they ended up stuck in the tent for much of our stay. Even if it had been dry, there really isn't anything for kids to do in the campground itself. The brewery's live music didn't end until around 11 pm, and then neighboring campers continued partying well past the posted noise curfew. Besides them being loud - they also let their dog shit right next to our picnic table... so cleaning up after that was not cool. If you're looking for a place to grab a beer, Ten Sleep Brewing is absolutely worth the visit. If you're looking for a peaceful campground, especially with young kids, I'd recommend staying elsewhere and just stopping by the brewery.

I only stayed over night. The night before I stayed at a highway rest stop. I was due for a quiet night’s sleep. Good place to stay for a night. Beer, pizza and a shower you can’t beat it for the price.

Absolutely loved this site and was a great reprieve from all the driving. The area is clean and well kept. The brewery had great beer and workers were extremely friendly. With the proximity to Big Horn, I couldn’t recommend this site more.

Would stay again! You aren’t going to get much privacy, but this is a convenient, safe spot to camp for a night just outside of Bighorn NF. Definitely recommend a stop at the brewery for a beer, I didn’t have a pizza but they looked fantastic.

The area was very clean, easy to pull our camper into. Bonus for the campground is the brewery in walking distance. Great beer and pizza and a short walk back to the camper. Great communication with campground managers. Would definitely stay again!!

The campground is exactly what I thought it would be, was appropriately priced, and we enjoyed our stay. However, this Hipcamp app and the spam emails made the aftermath not worth it. I won't be staying there again based solely on the incessent emails.

Overall, it was great. The site has a cool backdrop with the orange mountains and the brewery, and every tent site has a cute sun shade over the picnic table. The RV sites are interestingly lined up in a way I haven’t seen before, and it was empty there besides us. We had booked the site with the highest rating, and I realize this is a fairly new camp ground, so the rocks / gravel that were put down on the RV sites are probably all not settled. Long story short, we randomly heard a loud bang and after examining, one of our stabilizers had punctured through a hole with the pole into the ground, braking off the round piece which normally functions at the foot of the pole base. Unfortunate, so I’d possibly recommend not using stabilizers if camping with a large RV. Other than that, we loved it and the brewery was laid back with pizza and games to offer.

In fairness, I wasn't able to arrive for the originally scheduled reservation ...so I cannot speak to the camping experience. Both Amanda & I had communication disruptions that caused delays in our coordination. Hipcamp's app is often sluggish & 'buggy' ... I experience long pauses after a button press on my phone, taking far too long to load the host's property description, directions and rules. This quickly leads to frustration and is a DISINCENTIVE to continue using the service. I told Becky that I could NOT arrive on time and asked her to RESCHEDULE my reservation for the NEXT day. She told me that they were already booked up the next day... and asked if I wanted a REFUND. Now understand this ...I'm 65 years old and multi-tasking is not a strength. I am focused on navigating and safely DRIVING my RV and caring for a 14 year old dog, I CANNOT continuously remain in conversation with anyone. The obvious answer to: "Do you want a refund?" (particularly when my request to reschedule reservation to the following day is impossible) ...is YES! But did that happen. ...NO! Becky chose to KEEP the money, despite providing NO services to me. She provided ZERO proof that she had lost income for anyonr's planned reservation, due to holding mine OPEN even after we both saw my arrival wouldn't happen. Cue 'Dire Strait's "Money for nothing" song.

This was my second time tent camping here — this time in season! — and it was even better than the last. Last time I camped on my own in October, but loved it so much I had to show my husband. He liked it and we changed our 1 night stay to a 2 night stay!

Not as chill as it was!

A strict one car rule, no parking at the brewery allowed (!), plus exposed sites and big wind (so much dirt in our tents)... and an edm concert blasting until midnight. We didn't end up staying the second night! Next time I'll just camp in the nfs nearby.

The positives: Great location in Ten Sleep, WY - walk to the tap room for homemade pizza and great local beer! Port-a-potties are convenient and check the box for bathrooms. A water spigot is available at the tap room exterior. The negatives: No privacy (wasn’t expecting any for an in-town camping experience) The showers that are advertised cost $4 extra at the tap room and only one of the two showers was working The sites aren’t level
