Welcome to Beyond Our Gate, our semi-rural bush property less than half an hour from the Perth CBD and Fremantle. Our 5 acres is mostly uncleared bushland and we are often visited by kangaroos, quendas, and a variety of birds including black cockatoos. We offer sites for fully self-contained setups up to 6 metres (20ft), as well as a secluded site suitable for swags, camping, roof-top tents, or small camper-trailers. Beyond Our Gate is a great spot for a quick break without the long travel, or a base of operations as you explore Perth and the surrounding areas. Restricted fire season begins on April 1, 2026. Fires will be permitted from 6pm-11pm and are limited to 1m3 weather permitting (not in high winds etc.)

Our Fire Pit site is open and suitable for caravans or RVs up to 6 metres. It is next to an open campfire site. Restricted fire season begins on April 1, 2026. Fires will be permitted from 6pm-11pm and are limited to 1m3 weather permitting (not in high winds etc.). This site is near the front of our property so you might see us coming and going as we go about our daily business. There are no facilities at this site, so you WILL NEED TO BE FULLY SELF-CONTAINED (HAVE YOUR OWN TOILET). You are likely to encounter quendas and kangaroos in this area as well as the occasional mob of black cockatoos and other bird life on our land. Be aware that snakes live in Australia and are sometimes found in this area. We have 2 beehives on the property, so be aware the pollinators will be about! If you are a visitor to Western Australia, we may be able to share some experiences we've had travelling the state if we are around.

Our bush hideaway is a clearing nestled towards the rear of our land, surrounded by native bushland typical of the Swan Coastal Plains. Accessed by the firebreak gate (Gate 2), this site is ideal for swags or tents, but will fit small camper-trailers, or vehicles with roof-top tents or similar. The spot only 4WD accessible, and it is possible to bring a small camper or vehicle with a rooftop tent or similar right into the grove. To access this site, drive through the firebreak gate and around the property until you see the clearing! :-) There is a fire-circle that can be used in season. Restricted fire season begins on April 1, 2026. Fires will be permitted from 6pm-11pm and are limited to 1m3 weather permitting (not in high winds etc.) There are no facilities at this site, so you WILL NEED TO BE FULLY SELF-CONTAINED (HAVE YOUR OWN TOILET). You are likely to encounter quendas and kangaroos in this area as well as the occasional mob of black cockatoos and other bird life. Be aware that snakes live in Australia and are sometimes found in this area. This site is the more secluded option Beyond Our Gate and although the main homestead is close, you are less likely to see or hear us as we go about our daily lives. We have 2 beehives on the property, so be aware the pollinators will be about! If you are a visitor to Western Australia, we may be able to share some experiences we've had travelling the state if we are around.

Would absolutely 10/10 recommend this site! Linh and Tony were extremely helpful and kind. Was a last minute late night booking due to delays etc but they still accommodated me and my little camper!!! Would definitely return :)

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Tony was lovely and helped us find the gate and welcomed us with open arms. He even fixed our broken key. Lovely spot.

We had short and pleasant stay here. It was great that Linh and Tony came out to welcome us and then left us to our own devices. We asked for an additional firewood bundle and had a relaxing evening with a glass of wine. It felt relatively private amongst the bush.

The owners are very nice, welcoming and helpful. The property is easy to find and conveniently located, about 35 minutes from both Fremantle and Perth. We stayed in the Firepit site. It's quite level but doesn't have much space to spread out around it which wasn't an issue due to very wet weather. It's also right on the owners' driveway and just few metres inside the gate, so we did hear the garbage trucks when they came through. All in all good if you just need convenience.

Ideal spot for short trips/kids. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly, great local camp spot when unable to travel far, the fire pit itself was great, plenty of firewood reasonably priced.

Fantastic little hideaway with fantastic landowners. Bring your mozzie repellent, but otherwise could not recommend that place more, especially so close to suburbia. Will return!

Good host. Friendly and greeted us when we arrived. Quiet place at night which was great. Nice bush surroundings. Though no toilet, so used the ones at Robot Park, Piara Waters. There may be a public toilet closer. Would be good to have a water tap available on the west side of the shed. We stayed two nights. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

I stayed towards the back of the property, and it really did give the 'out bush' feeling, despite being so close to Perth/Fremantle. The property owners were very responsive and kind. I would stay again.

Stand was easy to maneuver camper trailer in the perfect spot, level stand with perfect amount of shade and sunshine. Native greenery around the stand and native brids checking in. Only 10-20 min drive to the nearest shops. Communication from host was quick and clear.

Absolutely loved this Hipcamp at Linh and Tony's, they have a beautiful piece of paradise and so close to the city still. There were so many different birds, kangaroos and babies too! An amazing spot to get some great photos. Linh and Tony are so lovely, they showed us around and had a chat with them. Honestly can't wait to go back again soon. - 4wd needed for the hide away spot - Mosquitoes are your neighbors, so bring some repellent if you get attacked like me - Shops are conveniently close - Don't for get to breath and look up! Life is beautiful in these locations!
