We wouldn’t return to this HipCamp, but it’s not all bad. The worst part for us was the owner and that’s really unusual for HipCamp locations in our experience. Almost immediately after setting up we were asked to move because the owner gave us the wrong directions to our site. Inevitably we didn’t move because it was just a one night stay and I wasn’t about to break camp at 6pm and reset when we were heading out by 8am. The owners explanation was almost for the potential move was the most ridiculous. A large group was in a couple sites closest to her home and she was concerned their kids would prevent her and her husband from sleeping well. As a small business owner, I find it difficult to understand asking clients to make large changes on behalf of my mistake! In the end no one moved and the group enjoyed making tons of noise and having fun and we slept great.
The location is very close to a huge Air Force base and not too far from a commercial airport. However, the noise was not bad (surprisingly). The sites are nice and well kept. The only bathroom is a shared porta potty. There’s a cute outdoor shower (rustic) and water is available via a garden hose.
Recommended, no, but if you’re in a bind and looking for something in this area I wouldn’t completely negate it.

It was so unbelievably cozy!! I highly suggest getting there before dark as it can be pretty easy to miss the marker otherwise. I have zero complaints though; the area was gorgeous, the tent had a space heater keeping us nice and cozy, and the shower was great.

What a beautiful spot! Stayed in camp site #1 with my little teardrop trailer on a nice bed of clover. The wildflowers all around the property were spectacular. My little dog Bess had a great time romping through them. Beautiful peaceful spot.

Magical Creekside Garden RV 3
So much to like about Rachael's enchanting land starting with the host, herself. She welcomed us at the site with a smile and a conversation that made us feel at home. Then the site! Beside a creek that sang a relaxing song with flowers all around. Horses and cattle grazed nearby. While some might hate this, I loved the sounds of the train at night and during the day, the aircraft from the nearby airforce base. The base even played wake-up and goodnight music. I think it was Revelry and Taps, but I think it also changed. The one thing I worried about - the port-a-potty - was pristine. Added touches of an outdoor shower and jars of water to wash our hands made the whole stay feel special.
I have only two issues about the stay, and they are both expected and mine. Because of the water, the site was loaded with mosquitoes and those beautiful flowers triggered one of the worst allergy attacks I've had in a long time. See, this is on me, not the host.
My husband and I love this place so much, I'm sure we'll be back - with better allergy and bug protection.

Peaceful, scenic, relaxing location with greenery, trees, horses, and mountains in the background. We had the camp to ourselves for the night, plugged in and watched a beautiful sunset while playing a board game inside our RV. (It was chilly out.) Rachael greeted us warmly and delivered the lb of deluxe (frozen) ground beef we’d ordered in advance. (Which made tender, juicy burgers at home a couple of days later!) Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone as a great location for a much needed getaway or quiet place to spend some time.

We had the pleasure of staying at this campground, and it was absolutely wonderful. The location is stunning—so peaceful and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Everything was clean and well-maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
A special shoutout to Rachel, who was incredibly friendly and helpful during our visit. It's always great to meet someone who clearly loves their job and genuinely cares about guests' experiences.
I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene escape in nature!

The camp spot was shady and cool, and had a level spot for my RV. The adjacent Creek, although very small, was picturesque. Spaces were far enough apart to allow adequate privacy. The area was quiet.

Great location! Surprisingly quiet, considering the number of airports nearby. Horses wandering around added to the ambiance. Rachel was great and very helpful when we messed up our reservation. Will return later in the season!

My husband and our two dogs had a great time staying the night in the cute and quaint little trailer on the farm. Rachael was very friendly and welcoming as well. It was awesome being so close to all of her beautiful animals!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a 43' 5th wheel. I would say that's the max length that could fit through the gate off the road. It is a working farm with cows and horses around. Very private and quiet. We would definitely stay again!

I spent one delightful evening/night at Rachael's farm. The ambiance was great! It seemed as if I had all the room in the world! I was accompanied by only horses and wild turkeys.
As I pulled into my campsite, Rachael graciously came by to welcome me and to offer a description of the farm and the facilities.
My only regret was that the evening's rain/wind storm kept me from using the most interesting, outdoor shower.

Horse pasture camping. Big wide spaces. The shower is super. The trains come through regularly which I enjoy and doesn’t interrupt my sleeping. There are two horses that we saw - beautiful! A couple of notes for awareness. It is an active pasture, which is to say you need to be aware of the horse manure. The porta potty could use more frequent servicing.

Great place to stay. A little expensive but nice.
The people across from us did not follow the rules even though there were signs on the fire pits prohibiting fires, and had a rather big open fire during this very dry season where evacuations were in affect around the area. This made us a little nervous. Otherwise, it was a nice get a way. Love the horses. Denali is the sweetest horse ever and it is a great environment.
We would stay there again sometime.

This campsite is an amazing place to slow down and enjoy the beauty of this unique country setting tucked away but close enough to the city. A great place to take in natural beauty of old growth trees, listen to the crickets sing in the evening, and watch beautiful horses in nearby pasture. Also in September there are wild turkies that roam the property. The campsite is equipped with cool amenities including water near the entry, also a quaint bath house with a mirror and changing room and a conveniently placed portapotty. The campsites are each unique and perfectly spaced and placed among the trees.

What a perfect little Oasis! You may wake up to a majestic horse grazing right outside your tent or rig. The outdoor shower is amazing, and the space is perfect for camping!

My girls and I had a memorable time at this place and I am blessed to meet the host, Rachel. Thank you so much and I have been telling my friends about it. During summer be careful with bee. I got stung twice no matter how careful I was. I like that it’s not too far yet it feels far at same time

Rachels land is so nice! Not far from town but still feels secluded. It was great waking up and seeing the horses and beautiful wildflowers. She has the coolest outdoor shower there! I'll be back

Hippocamping Drive Up Campsite 1
Really beautiful shaded camping spot with horses! We stopped here on an overnight on our way driving west and this was a great spot to relax and freshen up (shower and facilities were super nice and clean) before getting on the road again. Access is very close to the highway but far enough you get a break from it. Also close to an airport base were they do fun tunes at 9pm and 7am- such character! The horses were lovely to watch grazing peacefully and occasionally running together in the field.

This was a nice little get away for the weekend. We have two dogs and it was nice to let them run a little bit. Not a lot of places allow that. We will be going back next year.

I loved glamping at Sarah's! I came in late at night and the site was easy to find. My dogs and I loved the abundance of horses on our morning walk.
Sarah was easy to communicate my plans with. There were some other tent/rv sites but everyone staying there was quiet and respectful. I would definitely stay here again.
