Nestled near Arlington, our 75-acre property spans both new and old forest, featuring a salmon-filled creek and a vibrant beaver pond—all set against the dramatic backdrop of a 1,200-foot sheer cliff crowned with old-growth trees. Since its purchase in 1958 as a family retreat, this land has grown into much more than a getaway. It has become a place for relaxation, adventure, and connection with nature—a private forest for family and friends to enjoy. Over the years, the family has embraced forest stewardship and sustainable timber harvesting, while also creating campsites, trails, hosting rock concerts, and even making wine. What began as a simple escape has evolved into something extraordinary: a tree farm that successfully balances nearly every goal a forest landowner could imagine—timber production, wildlife habitat, natural beauty, recreation, and forest resilience. Valhalla embodies all of this with a harmony so seamless, it feels effortless.

Valhalla Farms: The Campsite That H
Just got back from Valhalla Farms via Hipcamp — what a gem. The campsite had everything you'd want and more: a spacious layout, two fire pits (because why not?), a stream running through, and even a gas-powered hot shower. The cabin was cozy with bunk beds for the kids and plenty of room for the whole crew — dogs included. With so much to do right on-site and even more to explore nearby, this place checked every box. We’ll definitely be back.

Relaxing Creekside Camping
This is the second time we camped at Vahalla Tree Farm, and we love it there! The Creekside Camp is our new favorite camp site; so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We only had two people, but there’s space for more tents if you have a larger group. It’s not far to walk-in with your gear, and they provide a wheelbarrow to haul gear to and from the car to the campsite. The shelter was great for shade from the sun, and also during a light rain shower. Dave is kind, thorough with information, and responds quickly to messages.

The campsite was perfect for our group! Dave was super kind and the property is beautiful to explore. If you don’t mind a non-flushing toilet I highly recommend!

Valhalla Cabin was quaint and perfectly nestled beneath majestic trees—photos truly don’t do it justice! The experience was nothing short of amazing. If we lived closer, we’d be visiting every month! The trails are beautifully maintained, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. We’re so grateful we got to witness and enjoy this stunning piece of land. Highly recommend to anyone seeking peace, beauty, and a connection with nature.

Huckleberry Hill Shelter Camp
Beautiful property and easy access to site. Roads are gravel and very well maintained. Water is fantastic and convenient location at all the sites. So quiet with lots of beautiful bird songs. Saw baby ducks, great cranes and several other birds at the pond, so peaceful. Looking forward to our next visit.
