This little cabin was adorable! It was exactly what my friends and I needed for our trip- a warm place to rest after a long day in the National Park. The hot tub was a dream after a long day of hiking! It’s also close to a couple good restaurants, coffee shops and ice cream.

Janet and Thomas were great hosts! Super friendly and very helpful. The cabin is fun and perfect for a nice weekend. So so close to the park. Highly recommended!

This little cabin in the woods was the perfect escape! There was so much to do & see and coming back to hot tub, cozy fire, and a place to cook made it all the better!!!

Excellent place to stay while visiting Mt Ranier National Park. Cute, cozy cabin. We loved the river access and the hot tub was amazing after hiking all day.

A lovely and cozy escape. I was lucky enough to get a Mt Rainier snow flurry at Paradise and a clear night at Thunderbird cabin. The Village is on my “return visit” list for sure!

I loved my time here in this lil cabin. I came here to do a big dent on the book I've been writing before the publication deadline. The space really helped me stay cozy, feel inspired, and was so close to many beautiful walking spots. It was simple and perfect for just me for those three nights. I wish I would have stayed more and I hope to return later!
Random things I really appreciated: the delicious faucet water, many hooks for drying rain jacket and other items, good coffee machine, simple kitchenette, comfy bed, warm and simple heating system, good parking.
Note to future traveler - the Google Maps will take you to the wrong place (it took me past the cabin and up a private driveway that was actually west/straight above the space).
Note about walking in the neighborhood - there is an aggressive dog up the street northwest of the property. It was locked up most of the time in its trailer, so it usually was a non issue. When it did charge at me one evening, I stood calmly, didn't move, talked in a high pitch tone, and the owner quickly came out to get it. Unfortunately, another dog did get pretty badly attacked by that same dog during my stay. If you have kiddos or dogs with you, be careful.

These cabins are VERY small. I would suggest these to anyone who is planning on spending most the time outdoors. Unfortunatlly it poured down rain our entire vacation.
The hot tub was very nice.

We loved our stay in Janet's cute lil Beaver Cabin. Nice, big firepit, and the hot tub was definitely our favorite as we got a light dusting of snow. We'll refinery be back. 😊

My husband and I were not able to fully enjoy this little nook of cuteness due to a cat emergency bringing us back home way sooner than intended. I’d love to come back and soak in the hottub and look at the stars after a day of hiking. The place was very clean and the bed comfortable. Communication was clear, and Janet was very helpful.

All in all we would absolutely stay here again but it could use a little support. Great location, hot tub was incredibly perfect after long days of hiking, and the beds are extremely comfortable.
A few simple maintenance/cleaning fixes would make this a 12/10 for me!

Such a lovely stay for a quick trip to Mt Rainier! Everything was clean, there were pots and pans for cooking, and the hot tub was a major plus. Would definitely stay here again!

This place is awesome!
The little cabin is pretty new and everything inside was a good working order. Magnetic screen bug door, screened window and a quiet fan in the loft helped keep the space comfortable. The sleeping pads in the loft space were clean memory foam mattresses with sheets. The angled ladder to access the loft was very secure and the rungs were smooth painted 2 by 6 boards.
Private hot tub on the covered deck was bliss after hiking, There is a cute shower out back that is shared with the other little cabin.
The property is tucked away in a wooded neighborhood bordering lots of old growth. Very quiet and private.

Absolutely loved staying here! There was a good balance of feeling like we were in nature, but that we were still "glamping" (the bed was SO comfortable and having a fridge/cooking equipment/hot tub were so amazing). Already can't wait to stay here again!

Janet's cabin had a great hot tub and a perfect location. The mattress was excellent for sleeping and lounging, and the cabin had everything needed to prepare food and have a great stay. We especially liked seeing the robin's nest with babies on the porch-- watching mom & dad feeding their little ones while we soaked was the best.

Great place, great location, great owner.
We loved it. Exactly as described. Even better with a new shower room!
All the things so close; national park, ski resort, river, lakes, and even a train ride. All season rental.
Town was very accepting and gracious even when 3,000 runners and friends showed up for the weekend. Local store has most anything you need, except vegetables, so shop on your way in.
Will definitely book again!

We loved staying here! The outdoor shower was super clean, the hot tub was so cute and perfect, and the bed was really comfortable for being on the ground. I will say that having a back up cooking plan is a good idea, just in case you don’t have pans for the induction stove. Otherwise the kitchen was well stocked enough. This cabin felt like the perfect amount of room for two people. Extremely close to Mt Rainier and Alder Lake and it was just magical. Very quiet property with beautiful trees and foxgloves.

After two days of tent camping we were very thankful for running water, hot showers, and a comfy bed! We spent most of our time in the park, and coming back to this quite and cozy cabin was a perfect way to end the day!

We enjoyed our stay at thunderbird cabin! Janet and her family were amazing hosts. They have everything you need to have a comfortable stay and they definitely know how to make you feel welcomed. The river was such a short walk and very enjoyable, they have done an amazing job and I’m sure it’s only gonna get better. The Hot tub was a Major plus and the bed was super comfortable! Definitely worth taking a mid day nap. Overall a great trip and worth the drive, definitely coming back!
