This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. NO TENTS, please. Also we have NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 12 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs through the check-in entry-way. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site (dumpster) available Memorial Day to Labor Day. We look forward to hosting you!

Sites are on 12 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Extra camping vehicles are allowed for a fee, so bring your friends! Tents are NOT allowed because they smother the grass. Mats that cover the grass are NOT allowed because they smother the grass. You must provide bathroom facilities for all of your campers. Number of vehicles allowed limits the number of extra RVs. If your RVs are small, more may fit. Check with host for permission to add more. Picnic table and fire pit with grate are supplied in each site. There is fairly good screening between sites. N0 power in most sites exceptions are the three pond area sites, all of which have power for ONE RV. Water IS available in every site. Caution: HIGH WATER PRESSURE. If you want to hook your trailer up directly, be sure to use a pressure regulator to protect your RV's plumbing. This will be an odd review because I have not been to the site yet. I made a reservation for earlier in September but then had difficulty getting my van back from an up fitter. I could not make my previously paid for reservation, but Barb has been absolutely terrific!! I stayed in touch with her and let her know what my troubles were and she has been an angel. I will be getting there within the next three days, Lord willing, and I am certain beyond any doubt that my stay there will be extra extraordinary. These are class ass people. Not nearly enough of them to go around. Wm. Snyder

Coyote Cabin
Barb and Terry's property is becoming a home away from home for us, our family, and dear friends. We finally toured Barb's art studio this visit and we were blown away by her talent and the history she's shared. If you get the chance please check it out and try to find time to talk with Barb. She's a wealth of knowledge and full of incredible stories.

The tree farm is a favorite of ours. We know from experience our stay will be relaxing and trouble free. We appreciate the attention from Barb and Terry on check in and don't feel they're intrusive. They were very responsive to text when we did need wood. Our 30 trailer fit with ease in Cedars. There is plenty of room to pull in and turn around. Additionally, ample room for two trailers. There was a good mix of sun and shade in August. Our trailer stayed in the shade while the grassy area was sunny. Quiet. Peaceful.

Electric - Mimi's Pond Site
The campsite was amazing! There were two sites nearby but it still felt very quiet and private. The whole land is very large and my dog had a blast playing within the fenced dog yard. The river trail was also fun to hike. A little cold to swim but my dog had no complaints wading. We also bought amazing honey from their local bee farm. The only things we had complaints about was not about what they could control: our neighbors had their dogs off-leash and one of their dogs pooped near our site, and the gunshots that could be heard pretty close by spooked our dog. But overall highly recommend!

We love camping here so peaceful, private and relaxing ! Terry and Barb are great people and host they make you feel welcomed and make sure your stay is everything you wanted. The coyote cabin site is great for a group or just a family . Cabin is a wonderful added feature to hang out in or have family sleep in . Make sure to stop in and see Barbs art it is beautiful and get a thing of the honey so delicious.

Camped here in our tent trailer. The Shady Grove spot was nice and fairly private from the other areas. They have their campground well laid out and kept nice. Grass is green and well kept in each site.

We love Barb and Terry's campground! This was our 2nd trip this summer. The site is beautiful and majestic. It is so calm and relaxing. The hike to the river is really fun and the river is so fun! We will be back again for sure!

Blue Site
This was our 2nd time camping here this summer but first time in the blue site. We really loved the site. It is very spacious and surrounded by trees, as all the sites are. The property is lovely, as are the hosts! We will be back again next summer!

Beautiful settings to set up your rv(s) in. Friendly and gracious hosts. The well kept lawns that thread through the Arboretum beautiful trees and the quiet- the road is far enough off and not heavily travelled. The Cedars site combined desirable shade, and open enough to enjoy the sun, and night sky. Enjoyed visiting Barbs gallery/studio to check out her art work. Enjoyed visiting Morton’s 82nd Loggers Junilee!

Really nice spot especially if you want to have the space for your kids to run around. The property was maintained extremely well and hosts were friendly. Everything was super easy to navigate and there are places near by to enjoy the water. We drove to kinswa state park and stayed there for the day to do some swimming and fishing. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

We stayed two nights in the Cedars Site and really enjoyed it. It was very apparent from the moment we arrived to the property that Barb & Terry take great pride in their land and ensuring a great experience for their guests. Everything was clearly marked to get to the site and they even provided a map of the land. We enjoyed spending our time at our site and also spent some time on the swings & playing horseshoes. Terry came by our site with some bundles of wood & came back the next day (at our request) so we could purchase some of his honey and homemade vinegar. We have zero complaints about our stay here! We had a great time and are talking about coming back with more of our family at a later date.

Arboretum at Bear Canyon West was a peaceful and serene place to visit. Easy trails to follow, honeybees to experience, Christmas trees to gaze upon and a glorious mountain in the distance as a beautiful backdrop. Barb and Terry were very attentive hosts. And, oh yes, the honey was so delicious.

This is our second visit to Barb and Terry’s property. I foresee many more family memories will be made there. I can’t recommend this place enough. Enjoy the walks through the multiple species of trees enjoy the river and beautiful nights. We truly enjoy hearing about Terry and Barbs story. Thank you again for the artwork and honey. We will be coming back and bringing more family.

Tree Farm

We love our annual trip to the tree farm!! Every time is an adventure! Barb and Terry are always so kind and accommodating. If you want to feel like you have left the city behind but not have to travel hours away the tree farm is the place to go!!! Don’t forget to take a nightly walk around the trees and check out the sky!
